With the changes coming does anyone know if Sanctified Seals will increase the Critical strike chance of your Holy light, holy shock and flash of light healing?

Also with the changes in the trees do you think the primary healadin build will stay holy/prot or will it delve into the Retribution tree now to get benediction (seals and judgements reduced cost) Conviction (5% more crit on healinng spells) and possibly sanctified seals if it also adds.

i'm not sure if sanctified seals affects heals or not. i can try to remember the look into that later though. i do, however, think that the SoL change only will change how far into ret that holy pallies will go, not whether they'll go. holy pallies will still want conviction and benediction (especially now that it should reduce the cost of HS and the shield buff in addition to judgement hopefully).

Well, Sanctified Seals says "all spells and attacks," so I can only assume that this would include heals.

I also think that for a PvE Healadin Ret will be the sub-spec of choice. I still see PvP centered healers going down Prot, but not PvE ones. I tell ya, as a Prot spec Paladin I'm in love with that new Benediction as well ^^

Yeah the changs to benediction, and conviction are well worth it. Especially with how many spells are instant cast now. These spells include Hammer of Wrath, Seals, judgments, blessings, consecrate, holy shield, shield of righteousness, avenging wrath, avenger's shield, exorcism and holy wrath.

While I applaud the moving of blessing of kings to tier 1 of the protection tree I hate having to spend 5 points on it now to get the same effect as before.

yeah, i saw that Sanctified Seals affects all spells after i had posted that earlier. and i agree 100% that ret will be the secondary tree for PVE pallies. 8% more spell crit for the most crit based healing class? yes please... and benediction reducing our instant casts mana cost? this will definitely be the way to go. benediction will be a must have for all pallies now.

Definitely agree with you, Maulgak. On live I'm Holy/Prot, though I still have 5 points in Benediction. The new Benediction is terrific, as it applies to all insta-casts: Seals, Judgement, Consecrate, Holy Shock, Hammer of Wrath, etc. I don't think it applies to the instant Holy Light you get from Infusion of Light, oh well, can't have everything (mana regen ticker in Beta is too fast for me to read accurately when I've tried it, lol).

From my limited playing in Beta, Improved Blessing of Might provides a nice little kick to damaging spells for questing/grinding, and the extra boost to crit from Heart of the Crusader and Conviction is really nice.

To answer Cbadger's original question: As far as I can tell, Sanctified Seals does apply to all spells, as the tooltip says. Hopefully nobody at Blizzard will look at the tooltip and say 'Hey, we can't let this effect all spells, it's supposed to be Seals only!'

Well I got onto the PTR last night and my base Critical strike was around 38% between sanctified seals and Conviction. So 44% chance to crit a holy shock or holy light and 40% to crit a flash of light. That is just sexy especially with holy light at +1156 heal critting for 9300 - 9560+. So it does look like Blessing of light was rolled into our heal spells.

FWIW on live I got 2063 +heals for comparison.
