Can anyone link some resto druid videos for arena 2v2? I need to improve my play and have been unable to find any. I've found a few guides but nothing fantastic.

Also, what's the best way to survive the rogue opener? I have 300 resil, so I'm a little low. What I've been doing is when I see a stealher just shifting into bear right away. I'll stay in bear as long as I can, then pop out and abolish poison and heal. Does that sound right?

I was starting out in kitty stealthed but 3/4's of the time I never stood a chance. Thanks for the help.

I am FAR from an arena expert but if you start stealthed how are the rogues finding you? Are they human and using perception? I would think that starting stealthed is the best way to go. As a feral, though, I find rogues kill me when they get me in kitty -- in caster (w barkskin) or bear they are not a problem -- so if stealth isn't working for you I suppose you'd want to reveal yourself in one of those. Though that sounds like a recipe for fail. Curious to see what wiser minds think.

I think the rogues may be human and that's how they are nailing me. I will try www.warcraftmovies.com. I tried it once and couldn't get it to work-do you need to pay for it?

Nonetheless, are there any other movies out there?

Warcraftmovies is free.

Again, with huge caveats on how I am no Arena expert -- when I'm in there, stealthed, I will not ever unstealth first. A rogue can vanish; we can't. When we go visible in a fight we give up a huge edge. So I'd say stay stealthed in kitty for the jump you'll get in 84% of the matches, and if the rogue is human you just have to trinket out of kidney shot, then go bear and weather the storm.

WarcraftMovies.com; Just type Restoration Druid Arena into the search bar. To make a movie play, go to the left-hand side under the big red Download Here box, and select what kind of stream/download you want.

If a Rogue catches you in Cat, they can take you down 20-30% during Cheap Shot (trinket the Kidney, save Barkskin for when your trinket is down), but that 20% can be followed by a Counterspell or a Fear to prevent you from healing while the Rogue continues to beat on you. If you're in Bear, they'll get that much through an entire stunlock and you can save your trinket for later. Pre-hotting and abolishing is the best way to deal with a Rogue. Be careful when leaving Bear to refresh, as the Rogue can just save his 5 CP and then Kidney you in Caster.

Yes, but you're Feral. Ferals have a higher stealth level than Rogues do, while Restos have a lower stealth level. As Resto, the Rogue will find you in Cat if he looks long enough.

Edit: Changed CS to Counterspell for clarity versus Cheap Shot

Just a little note about stealthing in in kitty form while in arena resto spec.

I always have pounce and barkskin next to each other so that I can hit one or the other really quickly.

I tend to spam Pounce as I walk around because it will automatically target the closest target and use pounce and if that rogue isn't quick enough, now you have him stunned and you can pop out, focus, moonfire/FF(to keep him from re-stealthing without using Cloak of Shadows) and then rooting and running. Now he's chasing you and not hitting you and your teammates should be doing their thing to help/kill the other players.

If you do get caught I second the barkskin, trinket the kidney shot and then bear. What I like to do in bear is make sure I can feral charge one of his teammates(because I'm arena resto spec I would have this) and that gets me out of range of the rogue quickly, I then make sure I have the rogue focus targeted and use either cyclone or roots to keep him away as I travel form and run, throwing HoTs on my fellow teammates as I go.

Hope this helps.

Galen,

That post was very helpful. This is noobish but where can I find the focus macro? Is there a specific one for arena?

Doesn't the standard resto PvP spec include the improved stealth skill to get to feral charge? It should equalize stealth for all non-nelf stealthers, right?

And if there's a rogue lurking about, maybe stay close to your partner so said rogue has to walk through that toon, destealthing, to find you? Obviously this isn't feasible if your partner is under attack but if it's just a game of stealth chicken and there's no hunter w flare up this may be one way to lower the odds of getting jumped....

I'll throw you all my macros when I get home and can cut and paste them exactly so I don't mess them up from work.

Also you can look at Wowwiki, they have a great page all about making macros.

Gale,

Ok thanks, I'll wait to see those macros. I was also hoping to find one for the "spirit stick/innervate" trick.

It's funny that punk brings up a druid being in stealth. We had a match where we toasted the first player, then the druid went stealth on us. It took us 45 MIN to find him!!! He was hidden behind a pillar for the bridge. My partner and I were so pissed!

Spirit stick innervate macro... Why the hell haven't I been using this in conjuction with my buff to bury innervate macro?

Nothing like watching those dispel classes get pissed off when innervate is constantly buried underneath rank 1 motw, rank 1 thorns, and ooc if you can spare the talent points.

I think Gale forgot about me. I have yet another question. I installed Proximo last night. The first fight I did when I moused over the opponents it displayed them in party chat...then all fights after that it didn't. Is there a known way to fix it? I like Proximo though, it gives you really good bars to see the enemies status. Are there any other must-have add-ons for druids in arena?
