What do you do when you encounter another druid out an about... Or rather they encounter you?

I am Horde and occasionally I'll be engaged in combat (usually not at full health as Druids ROCK) and all of the sudden I see a black panther kitty appear behind me and my health start to drop. My general response is to War Stomp - travel form and split and maybe a natures grasp if I can, if I am close to full health I will often try to fight them, though it is usually a 70 and I am not quite there, so if they get the jump on me I often find myself on the losing end.

I am curious what you fellow druids generally do if you are fighting and a rival kitty appears behind you?

(I searched for a similar thread in the forums, but I was unable to find one.)

If I'm attacked I try to fight back. If i see another Nelf Druid fighting a NPC, depending on my mood, I might attack or not. I remeber one time I was questing in Fearalas (sp?), I was in cat form and trying to kill Yeti's for their hide (quest objective). I would see all these dead yeti's lying around (which I skinned and got the hide) but didn't have a humanoid showing on the minimap. Finally I see the Nelf kitty ahead of me., we were the same level. I'm standing there looking at him while he's looking at me. I was like we were both deciding whether to attack or not. We both came to the conclusion to not attack and went our separate ways. At the time it just seemed kind of funny, two kitties staring each other down. LOL

After being repeatedly killed by Tauren druids on all of my toons (including my druid), I don't hesitate. Thankfully the horde are terrible on my server, so they aren't usually too hard to kill. I think everyone gets to a point where they are tired of being killed and then they switch from "peaceful mode" to ... "I don't care who they are, KILL KILL KILL" mode.

yeah i started on a pvp server but got tired of getting ganked inside huts in tarren mills or other places or getting ganked non stop by 70's. highest toon i got was like 2 lvl 36's before i droped the server and went to a pve server where a buddy of mine from work was on. i still wish i had my toons cause i deleted them so i wouldnt go back but now that i have some 70's i wish i could just start ganking other 70's on my server. i may have to role another toon on a pvp server anyone know of any good ones thinking of going horde druid. or maybe be pally since those are my 2 70's cept ally on pve server.

If i'm on my druid in resto gear, it depends on the person. If the person is ~average 70 or a bit above (the range isn't particularly big for pvp feral on my server) i try to see how long i can last before i start healing while staying alive (without moving). Then i eventually heal and laugh and they eventually get bored and scurry away. However, if i'm in my feral gear (as it is terrible for pvp) i'll do my best to bash > run, mangle(x3 or more) > maim > run, or if the person is kinda bad kill > dance.

If I'm spec'd resto, I generally will find people in the wild in my pvp gear. So if another druid is tempted to attack me... I welcome it with open arms. There is nothing better than a feral druid pouncing hoping to lock you down when all it takes is a simple stroke of the 9 key and barkskin pops up. As they decide to hit me numerous times, procing Nature's Perfection and my mitigation reachs around 60% I kind of laugh and begin to bloom. This is about the time the long winded fight turns the tables as I start running around moonfiring like an a-hole and healing with very little effort.

But if I'm boomkin. I pop barkskin and see how much damage I can do before they kill me.

Yeah, not as pretty as being resto.
