S2 for TK/SSCFollow

#1 Sep 07 2008 at 8:01 PM Rating: Decent
After a leep of absence from WoW, my old guild split up, leaving me guildless. An IRL friend of mine who was in the same guild joined a guild that is going through SSC/TK and is dabbling through Hyjal and BT (first BT run is tonight as a matter of fact). He told me that if i were to pvp and get full S2 he could get me in. My question to you almighty hunter gods is that should i really go after full S2, or are parts of me gear good enough and not needed to be replaced?

Are you currently logged out in the gear that you raid in? I see a bunch of PvP gear- including a bunch of S1 gear and even some Stalker's chain. If that's the gear you plan on raiding in, you're going to have to replace just about everything.

Full S2 will help. However, I suggest also working on Arenas to get some even better gear. S3 starts to show some Hit rating, which you desperately need.

But if you do get full S2, you're going to need to gem ALL hit. You'll get 6 sockets, so you'll need to get 4 +hit gems (32 hit total), and then 2 purple gems to achieve the meta requirements.

And while you're getting your S2 gear, keep working on badge gear. You can pull your weight all the way through BT with it.

No, thank god that's not my PVE gear, at least not the chest legs and hands. I got my S2 legs today, but I'm still using http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31286 and some crappy epic leather gloves from Kara trash. Altough the S1 gear is regretful all i have, and being guildless atm i don't have any way of getting much good upgrades.

But yeah, thanks for the input, I'm most likely replacing my S1 gear with S2 gear and gemming to get hitcapped as soon as possible.

you do know that s2 is a very slight upgrade over s1? if you're going to spend(waste?) the time grinding honor for s2 with plans of raiding why not put that time into pugging kara and heroics for badges?

Badges are your best bet right now. They work wonders. Use them well and wisely.
