I dont think this has been brought up before, but if im wrong.... i dont care. I just wanna hear your opinion on this...

does anyone else think that blizzard should impliment a totem pole item/ability...

instead of us having a to carry a totem that enhances one thing, why cant we carry a totem pole, like the tauren chieftan did in WC3. we would have to activate it, would last the duration of the noraml totems, and has the same effect as them(use maybe more mana due to the mobility). But instead of us having to be in range of the totem, we just carry it on our backs, i know many will think this is op, because then in pvp, no one could destroy it. but it would be a nice buff to carry them with you on your back instead of having to hope you stay in range of them, which never happens in pvp.

to me it seems like a good idea, but i will prob. get flamed to hell for it but i dont give a damn.... let me know what you think...

First I admit that I don't know how it was in WC3 since I have never played that. That would be totally OP if it cannot be destroyed. We have been asking that our totems would scale little with our hp so that it would take more than 1 lance from mage or wand to kill our totems.

But a totem in our back when moving..... Grounding, tremor, healing, searing all the time where ever we run... They would love us in bg's. How about protecting flag carrier in wsg with constant eartbind running with us. Try to catch us melee. And as enha shaman we would maybe love to charge in with magma totem pulsing in our behinds.... Nice aoe right where we want it.

I posted this in another thread.. but I think it'll fit here as well.. I agree with your idea Nomaak. but with some twinks of course

"How about this... Make the totems orbit around the shaman in the form of an ORB. or something similar. The totems would move with player and have the same HP and do the exact buffs they did before. For the totems to be destroyed the player would have to be attacked or be caught up in an AoE. One totem would be destroyed at RANDOM when the player is delt damage and there would be a 5 second cooldown until the next totem could be destroyed. The damage delt to the player would go to the totem first and the remaining balance to the player. IE. 569 damage in total would be... 5 damage to totem + 564 damage to player. I feel this would level the playing field because the totems would mobile and slightly harder to destroy..... "

great idea, only if blizzard checked these forums lol....

i agree with your idea.... the circleing totems would work great... and i like the destriyed at random.... like being physicaly dispelled from the shaman... and the damage being balanced between the totem and the shaman, but in pve solo, during lower levels when the shaman is actually getting hit, it would be a pain in the ***... maybe if it added a small stun duration like 1 sec, when it was destroyed it would give you us an edge in solo play, and in pvp....

I see what you're saying about low level PvE. Perhaps the totems would be stationary for lvls 1-XX. Then at lvl XX have the 'mobile' totems be a reward as part of a quest? Or have it be a talent point 2nd or 3rd row down?

I think it would be too powerful if the totems were mobile AND stunned for 1 sec. What if.. and this is getting squirrely.. When a totem was destroyed it stunned the shaman for .5 seconds and the person destroying the totem for .5 seconds also?
