Gimme, gimme, gimme.

http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?pet=45

Question:

If you spec into the BM talent, train an exotic pet, and respec, do you get to keep the pet?

Yes you get to keep your pet, you can just never call him out again until you respec to BM. You'll have to put him back in your stable and use another non-exotic pet.

I think that it is ridiculous to be able to play a cow-person that rides a rhinoceros and can cast magic spells.

:( Looks like I'll just have to be primarily a BM Hunter that occasionally respecs when necessary.

From Petopia, re: Core Hounds as pets:
Quote:
Lava Breath

Instant, 25 Focus, 30 yd range, 10 sec cooldown

Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for [rank] Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.

Slows targets casting speed for 10 seconds, with a 10 second cooldown?! Can anyone confirm this?

And, oh yeah, I want one of those! Hmm... I'll have to toss a coin between a hound and a devilsaur...

Wowhead has that too.

25 Focus, 10 second cooldown, 30 YARD RANGE, and rank 6 is 45 to 65 Fire Damage (who cares about the damage anyway).

But I wonder if the 45-65 Fire damage aspect is per breath or the total...

I WANT.

I feel sorry for all my current pets for as soon as wrath hits most of them are gonna say goodbye. I know for a fact im definitly getting the Kurken cause its the only core hound that doesnt look demonic.

I am one of those people that buys all the non-combat pets he can find (although I am now waiting for WotLK, since they won't take up bag space), I won't really be able to stand being anything other than a BM Hunter--the pets are just too pretty.

I'd rather have one of those hounds from Netherstorm that has the extra eyeballs... they vaguely resemble a Malboro, atleast in my opinion. XD I would name him Ted.

Back on track, though, corehounds are pretty bad ***, and that skill looks like it will be extremely useful. I'm worried they may try to shrink them, though. They look so much more intimidating the way they are now. *crosses fingers* Here's hoping they leave them alone along with the Devilsaurs and Rhinos.

Baby polar bear > all.

I'm glad there's 2 extra stable slots, that makes for 5 pets a hunter can have.

I have a core hound :P His name is "Greenpeace"

He was a pain to tame though... (I used AofM + Haste pot + Scorpiod sting and hoped for the best). I just think theres something about having a firey beast running alongside you breathing flames on you enemies that is just awsome. I had one hordie that rode up on his mount at me so I summoned Greenpeace and charged up an aimed shot. He looked at the core hound and ran. Poor hordie most likely didn't check the patch notes :)
