Look, Theo does this every couple of days. It's how he gets his kicks. If you want to avoid it, don't try to argue with him, especially when you're clearly wrong. Take the hit on the chest and let him get the +1 he wants. You drag it out like this and you just look stupider, because Theo flamebaits for ***** and giggles, and we tolerate it cos he's usually right and it's fun to read.

If he goes "you're stupid" and you say "no I'm not", the conversation is never going to progress beyond "you're stupid" and "no I'm not". Kill it in its tracks by saying "yeah, I guess that was stupid" and then doing a funny emote.

This is the only reason to read the WoW forums. Theo is absolutely right, there is nothing about WoW that is not so straight-forward you actually need to read up and learn about it in detail. This whole place is an opinion warehouse with everything at bargain prices. Everytime someone flames me I just start laughing. My girlfriend thinks I am nuts for reading these threads, but for me it is pure comedy. In short I can't take anything Theo says seriously, he just makes me smile.

Ya but shhh...don't tell him that nobody really takes him seriously or it'll deflate his ginormous ego and he'll have to start all over again. Bad enough the forum mods have had to slap him down a few times...don't make it any worse ;D

I've learned roughly 50% of my theorycrafting from Theo, 50% from EJ.

He's an ***, L2Read between the lines for the info.

Anyone else remember that there was a bug that let you set up a friendly target as a focus and then ShS from flag room to flag room?

God I wish I knew about that before they caught it.

I almost got banned for abusing it. Smiley: grin

Yeah, like close-my-account banned.

It was awesome though, we ran premades where I'd just ShS to the Alliance flag room and ShS back. Games were over in 3 minutes.

Take everything you know about playing a Rogue. The leveling tips, the mechanics, the PvP, the PvE. Take all of it and type it out. Post it on the forums. Then you become useless and can take your **** poor abusive attitude and go away, and the best thing you bring to the forums will still be here.

OR

Be a decent human being and stick around. Make a contribution, and leave the net-kiddie angst at the door. Dunno about you, but where I come from, being an expert on something doesn't qualify you to be a douchebag.

I guess where you come from any asshat can throw his hat in the ring and think he's a pro, right?

Here's a tip, Aurelius: you're a moron. You've proved it time and again on the General forums.

Hell, I don't play a hunter main and I know more about the class than you do.

The reason you don't like me is because I don't like you, and I flame you every chance I get.

You're butthurt; it's that simple.

Don't make me point Wordean to this thread and other recent outbursts of stupidity on your part. Seems to me like you're already on thin ice.

Whatever. That's the beauty of internet forums, you've got this magic button on top of your mouse that when you scroll down...guess what happens??? Those eany-meany flame posts about you disappear!

NOTE TO ALL: YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ WHAT YOU DON'T WANT ON THE INTERNET.

It's called Free Will, and it's been around since the first man set foot on the earth. Theo provides multiple services for this thread, the first of which is good, reliable information. The second is insightful tips and suggestions, if you provide the questions in the right manner and location. Thirdly he provides a form of entertainment that, to most of us, is funny...obnoxious at times (but he'd be the first to admit this), but in the end, funny. Come on...butthurt is a funny word.

So go cry to whomever Wordean is, it's not going to matter. Preferably you could go back to the hunter forums, where everyone seems to want to hold hands and hunt for rainbows. This is the rogue forums, they aren't always pretty, but that's how we like it. Your input is no longer necessary or wanted.

Thanks, buh bye.

I don't want to mix in this discussion, but please speak for yourself. My opinion is the rogue forums could use some love; just because I don't freak out over it doesn't mean I like the general rudeness that often occurs a lot.

I'll let you lot carry on now.

No, these are the Allakhazam forums. They aren't yours. You don't get to decide what is okay and what isn't. And lately it's been made pretty clear that trashing people for asking questions isn't okay. And it's been made clear by people who actually...you know...have authority. If you're the kind of yokel that finds verbal abuse amusing, that's your problem, not mine. If that's your idea of entertainment, go watch a **** fight.

Don't let the sig fool you...my hunter has been retired for months. I just can't be bothered to update my Alla info.

All I'm saying is it's an internet forum. If you get upset by what someone whom you've never met thinks or writes about you, then you have some serious self-image issues. There will always be internet tough guys and people that have some...in your words...authority, and if you really give a sh*t about any of it, then there is a bigger issue at hand in your life.

Doesn't bother me so much. I'm used to it by now. I do, however, remember what it's like to be a newer poster and being blasted by someone over nothing. It's not for you to decide that stuff like that is acceptable. And keep in mind that this site has forum admins...the ones with the authority...who have already publicly warned Theo to knock it off with his abusive attitude. You can argue with them about whether or not that stuff should be allowed to fly if you really want to, but something tells me it won't go well for you.

I'm not arguing for or against abusiveness, just saying you should be able to ignore it. In the case of new posters, it could be a little rough, I was also one who got flamed (and still do). I've gotten past it and learned a bunch about the game. Whatever, this is a silly argument over internet semantics. I'm done venting, I just got a free I-Pod from work, it was left over from one of my golf outings!!

I honestly think that if you want to combat any abuse that Theo outputs you should just pretend it is a joke all the time. I pretty much take everything that Theo says as a joke. I tend to think of him as a joke. He contributes to the forums sure, and that is great, there are others that contribute as well. The big thing that I do not get is why contributing to forums makes people feel that they can whip it out and **** all over people whenever they feel like it. That whole concept just makes me giggle all the way down the thread.

I guess the best part is knowing that people who are experts in WoW are literally the best "_________" of an imaginary world. I mean... bragging about your internet conquests is hilarious!

I love these forums.

Another thing, if you want to see some serious hate, go to the OOT forums. Whole bunch of folks with nothing going for them in real life throwing virtual poo at anyone they can find. It is amazing and really funny!

Just curious, but who made you the post police? If the admins care so much, they can patrol their own forums. If Theo's been warned to tone it down, that's his problem if he doesn't listen; not mine and not yours. Your tattling is just as obnoxious to a lot of us as his abuse.

Aurelius occasionally gets flamed undeservedly, but QFT.

My first post ever on these forums was the OOT. Second was in The Asylum.

'Nuff said about that.

Oh, yeah.... I'm telling on you!!!
