Partnered with my mate who plays a fire mage, i respeced something like 5-5-51 and man o man its actually quite the combo. Ride out shadowfury while he use dragons breath and blast wave, mean while i am casting howl of terror. Then porperly fear one and nuke the other shadowburn, immolate conflag, new shadowfury Dead. Then onto the next person. Granted we won 7 out of 10 and our rated 1556 and we will never ever break 1600, its a fairly easy thing to counter but it is fun. Just wondering if any other locks have gone for a massive burst dmg 2v2?

I've heard that Destro Lock/Mage can actually work pretty well with some time and effort. However, it is mostly outcomped by dual melee teams. The idea is to blow crap up, so resto druids can't last overly long while the warrior is cc'd (polymorph while death wish is up, fear when not). Rogues can and will eat your face, as well as every other part of your body.

I did a 3's comp last season for fun with BM Hunter/Arcane Mage/Destro Lock (me - 0/5/56). It was fun, and that's what mattered to me, not the ratings.

I wish you luck, though!

Myself, I'll be sticking with my resto shaman/warrior for arena, heh.

rogues and disc. priests were an issue, if they feared we would have to trinket logically to get down the first person but after that rogue blinds mage then yeah "eats my face" does come to mind. But at this low rating you can get some teams that panic when they take so much burst damage and they end up blowing a lot of CD's in the first 5 or 6 seconds.

That is pretty much the idea with healers, especially paladins - get them too blow as many cooldowns as possible right off the bat and make sure they die.

Get Paladins to bubble early. Get druids to use NS and Swiftmend asap, but also make sure to spell lock and CS cyclone. With enough burst, you can blow up a druid before Lifeblooms have enough chance to tick through it. Always always always try to cc the melee (esp. if it's a rogue) asap. Make sure to Curse of Tongues the healer; if it's a druid, auto-devour is a judgement call, but always make sure spell lock is OFF autocast.

Get your mage used to using rank 1 arcane explosion, and use rank 1 rain of fire yourself, to get the rogues out of hiding. Oddly enough, though, I've had the most luck with rogues as Destruction and some lucky Shadowfuries (including one or two that went through cloak of shadows). But it really is a luck-based spec, since your mobility is going to be crap.

Seeing as I play either rogue/rogue or rogue/paladin, your comp is one I can only dream about facing =P
