It's an oboards link, just warning you guys, so you'll see the normal douchebaggery, asshattery, and moronic posting that makes you love the oboards and makes you throw up a little inside your mouth at the same time.
It's a pretty epic troll, it's on page 18 and I still don't think more than 10% of the people looking at the math/gibberish posted by Mat understand that he's just throwing numbers and variables together.
In other news, there's one post that made me crack up in that thread, on page 11.
"There needs to [be] a pact about using mathematical superiority for good and good alone, not for lulz."
Pretty much sums up the thread in one line.

Dammit! time to put those str gems back on the AH :) Math makes my head explode. It's pretty funny...was reading earlier today. Helped pass the time at work.

Whaaaa.... Brain... Slowly melting. I can NOT believe you sifted through Page after Page of that uninteligent, self absorbed, trolling dribble Theo. I could barely tolerate the two pages you have recomended (though amusing). Nothing like the good 'ole O board to quickly knock your faith in humanity down a few pegs. Edit: So I thought "What happens when I try to math that out?" Right away it goes Str^Agi. Some number*10^533. Yeah. And that's a 63 rogue. It takes 5 seconds to know it's a troll thread, but people just go for it.

It should have been readily apparent when Mat didn't have Str socketed in his armory gear. He's such a theorycrafter that he'd change his gear just based on math, not based on experience or anything like that.
I'm not Armory-ing someone who says that a 10 Str gem is better for a rogue than a 10 Agi or 10 AP, 5 crit, when it's based on a formula that involves scientific notation and octal logarithms..

I tried punching the math equation (and a few other) into my calculator (TI-84) First I got an overflow error... than I got some other error (syntax I think) and on one equation I recived a domain error. I'm not about to hand do this to find out what it comes out to. Overflow FTW
(used crit as 25 Resil as 300 Str as 500 and Agi as 700 in case any one has a something that can work this out better than I.)

Out of the 1500 posts or so, there was maybe 5 pieces of good advice, the rest was flame fest, private conversation, or meaningless trash. Posting the vent conversation was low. About on par with our political campaigners right now.
