Which spec do you like most? And why?Follow

So, running Ramps yesterday with 5 DK, and I am nearly lvl. 62

I won´t be able to play all the specs, so what do you prefer and why?

Maybe describe a little what you like and compare it with the other ones.

That would help to get a bigger picture, thanks in advance !

For me:

Deep unholy, really nasty stuff ! A little bit hard to keep track on
all your stuff, and as soon as the sever are not running smooth (much to often)
it´s getting wicked.
Scourge Strike has to be nerfed, no doubt aboout that (it will, see mmo-champions
latest news).
When doing quests I hardly get enough RP to use Unholy Blight, and same in my
first instance. Fighting Elite is quite easy...only thing that kills a DK are
the lags ;-(

I like the playstyle, but a lot of things to keep an eye on.
I skipped the Gargoyle, didn´t want to bother about another pet. Even thinking
of doing the same with Master of Ghouls, it works pretty fine on its own in
my eyes.
The aoe is just insane, and big fun !

I´m usually not a tank, but I´m looking forward to try an unholy tank. I have to switch
about 13 talent points within the tree, but seems to be fun.

Still not sure if its worth to use the talent that provides "joker runes", so far
I am fine without.

Single target goes like (assuming it lives long enough...):
- Icy Touch
- Plague Strike
(3 diseases up then)
- Scourge Strike
(all runes down then)
- using up the Runepower (Unholy Blight if possible)
Restart, maybe adding Heart Strike when health goes low

Multiple targets would be:
- Death and Decay
- Icy Touch
- Plague Strike
(3 diseases on target, runes nearly used up)
- Spread diseases among all targets (Pestilence)
- Bloodboil, Unholy Blight, Corpse Explosion..just what seems best or how much RP available)

Imagine the possible aoe here: diseases, damage through diseases on nearby targets, Death and Decay, Unholy Blight, Bloodboil, Corpse Explosion.
And here you see one of the problems...this feels unbalanced, because you don´t have enough Runes/Runepower to keep it all going and its just to much to keep in mind: all the cooldowns and refresh timers AND have an eye on your pet(s) AND keep a proper timing on your strikes...you end up a little messed up too often in my eyes.

I think I will even skip Corpse Explosion, not THAT much damage and a Death Rune is better used on some other stuff.
(more an additional tanking skill I think).

But big fun on the other hand to keep a lot of the stuff going ;p

When I eventually make one I'm going Unholy. I'm a Deathknight, not a Mage Warrior! Bring on the army of the undead and my deadly poisons and plagues!

Unholy is a lot of fun because it's overpowered right now. (4,000 + crits scourge strike at level 64 ftw!)

Seriously though, even when they fix this I plan to stick with deep unholy, especially if they decide to make the minion permanent. I'm loving the anti-magic zone.

Of course this is subject to change at a moment's notice. It's beta. :)

It'll be ahrd to rally know until u can try them all out. Since there are not many tanks on my server, I might spec for tank, which I understood was frost? Although maybe lots of people think like thatm and then we'll have to many tanks :S Just have to wait and see

I'm definitely going to be going Blood, even if they nerf it, I am going to love having a toon that can actually do great 2H DPS that is wanted in PvE groups (Only other choices are Lolret, Ms Warrs, and Melee Hunters *shudder*)

If you say that on beta people jump down your throat and say stuff like "noob every spec is for DPS and tanking, read the notes!"

I forget the talent but the one in the unholy tree that has the arms come out of the ground makes the server lag so bad when 5 or 6 DKs are fighting mobs within 50 feet of eachother.

Blood is nice for me, on a premade spec'd 51/20 frost/unholy I was getting 15k+ crits on the "Taking back ebon hold" quest. Really it's hard to pick a tree, especially since respecs are only 1c right now lol. I can respec as much as I want without worrying about money, wish live servers were like that.

I dont have a beta account yet, but from what i have seen, its going to be unholy, blood, frost. thats my order of favorites. but as one of the abouve posters said, that could be subject to change since it is in beta still.

This is only through to 67, I haven't played the premade that much so opinion may change later past 70. So far though I enjoy Unholy a ton. Pet class with lots of diseases, every melee hunters dream Id say and a great starter tree imo. The 45secs of ghoul form you get when you die totally pwns, that dude is serious kick ***, cracks me up everytime and in a bg its hilarious. Desecration with the arms flopping around on the ground wasnt very appealing visually so I didn't use it, and when it was eventually changed Id already spec'd blood.

Blood was a quicker playstyle, with more bang than unholy, I have all dps toons so I definitely took to this tree. High survivability, I kid you not, at times its like I have pocket heals. Coupled with some wicked burst dmg, dots, aoe, 2min ghoul oh and massive sword, you can do some decent dmg, I can definitely take on a ton of mob with this tree, if youre really rocking youll walk away even after the most insane multi-add pile-ups. Melee warlock, kinda? Definitely my favorite tree so far. Massive fun. Ive yet to jump into the frost tree so I cant say much about it tbh. Having way too much fun with blood tbh and I dont want to lose my pace as I'm ugh! sick of OL. Next ding, /bye.
