My pet is elite? 0.oFollow

I was under the impression that when a hunter tames an elite pet, it loses its status and is just like any normal pet from the same family. So, when my husband showed me this screenshot, I thought it was pretty neat--but weird.

My pet just looked normal to me, and after Jon had logged out and back on it didn't appear elite to him anymore either. I have no idea what made it show up like that to him, but it was awesome (and if I could, I would totally have kept my wind serpent named Son of Hakkar, especially since I'm having trouble coming up with a name for him).

Anyone have any ideas how/why it happened, or if it's likely to do that again? I am tempted to keep him unnamed if it means that from time to time he kind of changes back like that.

Not elite, but it made for a good convo and a neat pic.

I had just tamed Goreclaw, after me and my friend had done the quest to kill him.

We rode back to town and turned in the quest..
Then friend said, "woah! what did you just do to your pet?!"

I questioned him, and he told me to look at him. Said nothing had changed.

He then told me he was at his Normal Huge size. He said he kind of exploded up while we were in the Hut turning the quest in.

I sadly didn't see this on my Screen. But he took a pic to prove it to me.

It is an odd glitch, and I ahve seen it twice now. The image is the 1st, and then one time in IF a hunter's pet was HUGE elite size. And it seemed only I was able to see it.

Fun stuff.

Yeah, I seen a hunter's pet with the "rare(silver)" dragon around it's portrait the other day.

maybe GMs likes to play tricks on us sometimes?

Isn't that the boss that MCs you? When you got mind controlled, since you were under the control of him, so was your pet.
