Which would be more beneficial for a warrior, Aldor or Scyer?

The general consensus is Aldor, but really the differences are pretty minimal.

Scryer for any/all classes:

1) you don't have to wait for the elevator, just jump down
2) buying rep items are much cheaper since the Isle dailies have a lot of drops, hence supply is higher.

The Aldor proc from the SSO necklace is generally better.

For tanks, the shoulder enchant grants more avoidance than the scryer one. Not sure about other shoulder enchants, but check for yourself.

Those are the only differences really. Other than the elevator. Rep items from both tend to get upgraded quickly.

Aldor

Look at the enchants. Those will be the most useful.

Anyone who uses the elevators as an excuse is stupid and should be flying anyways.

Uhg! My first character to 70 is Scryer, so I got used to running off of the elevator all of the time. A month or so ago I got my warrior in OL, aligned him Aldor and kept forgetting one second too late that it's too far of a fall. ><

I hit 70 on my warrior a this last weekend, so I really need to get his flying mount to stop this constant suicide.

i'd go scryer.

for tanking the proc is 100 dodge rating (which is something like 10%ish i think)
and for DPS its 100 AP? 200 AP? i cant remember i think it might be 200 ish, even if its 100 thats awesome. it procs more often than mongoose on my rogue.

The relevance of Aldor and Scryer is the shoulder enchants.

If you get to the blue shoulder enchants you'll find both give "almost the same", by a minimal difference.

Aldor enchants are IMO minimally better.

But Scryer rep is generally much easier to get, so with scryer you can get to the blue enchants sooner and easier. And I consider the blue enchants to be so similar that they are the same to me.

I took Aldor, but if I had to make that choice today I'd definitely go Scryer.

Not sure about the tanking proc for Scryers/Aldor ... but the DPS proc is not as good as the Aldor DPS neck. Scryers does an arcane strike for arounf 350 damage. The aldor one gives you 200ap for a certain duration ... Aldor one is much better.

Blizz has stated that the procs eventually amount to the same damage gain at the end ... but I'm not so convinced.

The Aldor Shoulder enchant is also better - it's more oriented towards AP, whereas the Scryers one is more oriented towards crit.

Bottom line ... Physical DPS and tanks (and I believe healers as well) = Aldor ... Caster DPS = Scryers.

However, the differences are so negligible that the height of the elevator might very well be the best way to decide ;-) Oh, and if you're doing dailies, your will positively hemorrhage Sunfury Signets and Arcane Tomes ... I hit Exalted with scryers on my mage without doing any specific farming at all, it all just happened as a matter of course.
