I do believe this is my first "rate me" thread, but now that I can say that I've been to every BC instance and raid, I thought I'd ask.

Managed to get an invite to BT yesterday. Gorefiend gave me his bracers, which was a nice gift after being ghosted on both attempts. Sunwell farming has given me nothing, nor has Hyjal. So I'm stuck in.. a whole lot of PvP gear, forcing me to gem for hit.

I was SV until just last night. I kinda miss 1050 buffed Agi, but I put out 1200 DPS on Rage Winterchill. And I can be pretty certain on that number. By around 25%, we were down to 15 people. 10 survived the battle. It was a long fight.

And I love how my Kings-buffed stamina is 666.

Chest- Try to get Hauberk of the Warbringer from normal MgT or the Tunic of the Ranger Lord from H MgT.

Belt- Try and get the Money Belt from ZA or the one from the Chess Event in Kara.

Shoulders- You can either go for the S2 ones or T4. They are both good.

Trinkets- Go for the Hourglass and or the Bloodlust Brooch.

Bow- Your bow is okay but save up for the dead parrot.

Other than that you're okay for where you are.

No upgrades as of yet, though I did have a chance to roll on that Money Belt. After comparing the stats, though, I passed it off to a rogue.

Half the stam, loss of all int, -10 AGI, for 77 ArP, 12 AP and a blue socket.. It doesn't seem to be an upgrade as it is, and even less so when the new content patch comes out. (100% Int -> AP, 30% Stam -> AP [I'll be going SV])

Was that a bad decision?

Depends. Was it a guild run? If it was a guild run, were you higher on DPS than the rogue? If both answers were yes, than it wasn't a bad decission. If one or both answers were no, than it was a bad decision.

Using Cheeky's spreadsheet it's about a .44% increase in DPS (if there were no raid buffs and your current gear using a 3:2 shot rotation, it would be an increase of 4.56 dps). So it was definately an upgrade for you now.

But going SV when the patch hits, I'm not so sure. I haven't looked into it that much, as far as the conversions of other stats to AP, but from what I have seen(read), it still looks like Agi and crits will still be the trump stats for SV and the AP will come secondary as it always has. Plus you only get 30% AP from your total stamina, so the difference in Sta and Int loss from your current belt to the new belt would convert to 34.5 AP. There is only a 2 point difference in Agi if you put a +10 agi gem in the socket. I would still say you passed up on the better belt even with the upcoming changes.

I guess it's just because I don't know how Armor Pen works.

It was a guild run, and I was first on damage.. but the rogue I passed it to was Sub with his own Guardian's belt.

Well, I'm not doing that again. We should be killing Nalorakk again tonight, so I can hope..
