Shotgun post and I apologize for that, but I just cruised the Euro Oboards and apparently the official next-patch talent trees have been updated. A thing about Furor that boggles me, though:

Furor 5/5
Gives you 100% chance to gain 10 Rage when you shapeshift into Bear and Dire Bear Form or 40 energy when you shapeshift into Cat Form and increases your total Intellect while in Moonkin Form by 10%.

There's no mention of Jimmy's stuff.

The time from Jimmy's post to when the build went live was only 3 hours, not near enough time for the changes to make it in to the build we are seeing now. It should be added on the next push. :3

The builds you get are often a week or more behind ours, and that assumes that a designer actually went in and made changes.

Of course now we have to fight with rogues for drops that they are used to getting 100% priority for in 90% of situations.

As it stands now if I am tanking I will have great reservations about grouping with Rogues till everyone adjusts to the new itemization. Which should only take a year or so...

Easiest way to help them get used to it is to continue rolling on gear that is an upgrade for you. Worst they can do is have a hissy fit and drop party.

As a Mage, Resto probably has a higher chance of killing you than a Feral Druid.

I hate Mages. Especially all those goddam Frost Mages out there. With their Water Lolemental. Oh, hi there, 1,000 damage Waterbolt chaingun.

I hate to say this, but you have the option of respecing to the best PVP spec in the game rather easily. So you choose to be feral, you really shouldn't be complaining about *mages* who are mediocre at best in PVP....and thats in our top PVP spec.

Yeah, we have the option of respeccing to (arguably) the best pvp spec in the game!! Unfortunately, most ferals have always been feral, have no idea how to play resto well, and don't have awesome resto gear. I'm much more effective as feral with good feral gear than as resto with crappy resto gear.

personally, i think it behooves every druid to try out the other specs at least some of the time. i liken it to playing diablo 2 as only a fire spec sorc; youre missing out on the experience youd get if you were a lightning or ice sorc, as well as the different playstyles of the other classes.

for instance, im not a huge fan of balance, but i spec it every few months and ***** around on it in a variety of circumstances just so i have a feel of what its like. this makes my resto and feral game better because it allows me to learn alternate methods of dealing with situations. nothing makes you a better resto healer than main healing an instance as a feral, and nothing makes you a better DPS than managing energy and combo points as a resto spec. setting those limiations for yourself and then working around them is the best way to get better at your class and at this game, otherwise you face stagnation, both of yourself and of your appreciation for what the class can do.

Shouldn't the reworked talented Tiger's Fury make up for the energy thta you can no longer gain via Furor?

it helps. what is likely to help the most is the increased proc rate of OoC, the lack of an internal cooldown, and the fact that OoC will now scale with haste rating (meaning itll proc more if the druid is attacking more).

The funny thing is, if they had said "We are getting rid of PowerShifting but here is a new improved TigersFury to balance it out" then everyone would have thought it was great that we wouldn't have to use the silly macros and manage our mana etc.

Because they gave us Tigers Fury, then changed PowerShifting a week or two after, we are all worrying about our loss of DPS :)

If our scaling actually is effective at end game and our combination of DPS & utility is enough to get raid spots then who cares about powershifting.

It makes life easier to not have to manage energy and mana at the same time.

The lack of a clear 1st tier resto tree talent is annoying more so than no powershifting.

They need to add more bloat to the feral tree if they want separate tank/dps paths. I am curious as to what Blzz will do at this point. Especially when lvl 80 scaling becomes a balancing factor.

But ya if they had released the Tiger Fury/Furor talent changes reverse order would have been way less QQ.
