Ok so I'm going to try a blood frenzy build for tonights raid rather than my usual 17/44.

After reading the guides etc I only have one question, These are my two weapons at the moment-

World breaker
(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30090)
Gorehowl
(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28773)

Both with executioner. So is the increased DPS on World breaker beat axe spec from Gorehowl? I've been told either way in guild chat but thats not always the best place to ask lol.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

(P.S- I dont have 150 badges handy :P)

I'd say it's pretty even honestly. The mace will probably come out a little bit higher as a result of the lower speed and better damage. Maybe go out and test the two in the blasted lands on those guys that can't die? It'd hardly be a perfect test, but it might give you SOME idea.

if you're Tauren then you don't get anything from axe spec, and that would only be marginally viable for an orc.

shoot for the S3, S4 or Cataclysm's Edge 2h swords, or at the very least S2 sword, Despair or Jin'rohk from Zul'Jin. sword spec is so much win in raids because extra attack procs can crit and proc windfury, thus making axe a significantly distant second. the 5% extra crit from axe does nothing towards increasing your likelihood to proc windfury.

Yeah, but he'll still have the 5% crit as opposed to the craptastic mace proc for raids. I still think between the two, it's actually a pretty even run.

I agree that EVERYTHING you listed would be better for him, but I was just answering his question in terms of what he listed as having.
