i'm an enhancement shaman at lvl 56 at the moment, and i would like to know a good strategy(excuse the spelling, I just can't remember the spelling for it) for killing faster, and using less mana if possible. Right now i use a lightning bolt, followed by an earth shock then stormstrike. once cooldown on earthshock is done ( I usually get lucky and become focused ) I use another earth shock (somewhere along the lines I summon either a grace of wind or a strength of earth totem). Then the mob is usually dead.
First off, I'm assuming your using a LB as a opening pulling move, am I right? Nothing wrong with that persay, granted since your not elem (actually much of this is guess work since I have no clue of your spec and gearing), your LB's aren't "cheap". I'd suggest using a a rank 1 LB for pulling. A max rank LB isn't going to do ton's of dmg to make much more of a difference, since your not spec'd for it.
I'd save Earth Shocks for after Stormstrike. Common macro for SS+ES looks like this;
/castsequence reset=combat/10 stormstrike,earth shock
or
/castsequence reset=combat/10 stormstrike,earth shock,earth shock (or Flame shock...this is better for instances/raid bosses, since fights are longer)
Your trying to maximize your dmg/per mana cost. and since a good % of enh dmg comes from shocks, make your shocks hit as hard as you can make them...thus after SS.
2ndly, to lvl/grind effectively your goal is to gear for as much melee dmg as possible, thus your Windfury is doing the most dmg it can thus mobs are dying faster. Which translates into your not burning thru that much mana.
Your gear should be loaded on STR (or AP "IF" its double the STR value) > crit rate > Stam > AGI > Int...in that order.
Faster fights = less mana consuption.
Btw once you get water shield, this wil be MUCH easier. Once you get it, work it into the macro above, but put it in after the ES.
