Frost still looks like the way to go for PvP, for me atleast.
and with all these amazing things happening along with the shatter combo, WHICH ALL FROST MAGES LOVE!!! i can't wait!!!
I'm not really well geared yet and my crit with shatter with frost bolt and icelance is around 4.5k!!! so it will be a constant 4.5K!!! every 3 seconds with all of these new talents and the longer pet, the ice barrier break, the other talent that treats them as if frozen.
I'm actually happy about the forst talents coming out.

How about a Shatter PoM Pyro build?
Start off with IV, Icy barrier then frost nova -> (shatter)Pyroblast
Then Coldsnap>> Frost nova -> (shatter)PoM-Pyro for the kill.
If it doesn't kill em, once they break your barrier (shatter) Icelance them.
Spec has no staying power, just pure spike damage.

Many of us aren't really PvPers. We dabble on occasion, but many of us are raiders.

All I'm seeing atm are some fixes we should have had long ago and some new tools that would be great... right now. Alot of the new frost toys are very situational. "If I do this, and this procs, and my enemy does this, then I can hit him with this and this" type stuff. A stun that takes cast time that we rarely have, a proc that you can't rely on, and a WE that will give us mana when HP would help so much more. To be honest Icy Barrier is probably the best talent in the frost tree when it comes to pvp.
Come talk about mages being badass in pvp when blink drops you from being a target and IV makes you immune to movement imparing effects as well, then people will get into it.

I tried Kara with my guild once, and sitting on my *** for 5 hours hitting 1 and the occasional 2 its just not very entertaining for me.
I now have 5 twinks lol, spent about 4000 on all of them combined.

I like the changes so far. Plus Brain Freeze beats Improved Water Elemental for PVP. And Deep Freeze appears to be instant now.
Shattered Barrier
Gives your Ice Barrier 100% chance to freeze all enemies within 10 yards for 8 seconds when it is destroyed.
Empowered Frostbolt
2 points instead of 5
Fingers of Frost
Gives your frost damage spells a 10% chance to treat your next 2 frost spells as if the target were frozen.
Brain Freeze
Your frost damage spells have a 15% chance to make your next fireball instant with no mana cost.
Deep Freeze
Causes 1319 to 1531 Frost damage and stuns the target for 5 sec. Only usable on Frozen targets.
