so what spec does everyone plan on leveling in WotLK? I've been gearing resto, but think I'm going to start gearing for feral for the expansion.

I may be doing balance also. I have leveled 1-70 as feral, since I turned 70 few months ago, I've been mostly resto. I never really tried balance yet!

Gonna be balance. Loved the spec to start with, and it keeps getting better.

Just wondering...why would you start gearing up for WotLK leveling in a new spec now? I was new to the game and not capped at 60 when TBC came out, but based on what I heard, and assuming this x-pack is anything like the last one, then level 71-73 green drops and quest rewards will be super easy to come by and kick *** on level 70 epics you'd have to grind or farm for today.

And since large numbers of people/toons will be running the same quests and instances for a while, I'd think you could level quite quickly as a healer off the bat, maybe grab feral drops and rewards in the low 70s to do some fast furball leveling through the mid-70s, then settle in to collect whatever spec-oriented gear you expect to use in the new end-game when you get to 77 or so.

I'm just thinkin' out loud here...

Blizzard has said that t6 content should last until 76ish or 77 until you start to itemize new gear. Based upon that I'm thinking that with my gear being around t4/za/badge I'll start regearing my sets at around 74 or 75.

But, who knows with Blizzard, they've done crazier things.

The big question, is with the new talents coming out in a patch before the expansion (like they did pre-BC) how will we spec at 70 until the XPac comes out??

So many talents to choose from! Last time we had to give up OOC to get Mangle, but mangle was amazing! This time, the decisions are harder.

I'm thinking of something like this.

Ah, I see now, thanks for clarifying. I don't have that whole T6 problem, or even the T4/ZA/Badge issue. Based on my gear I'll be able to upgrade pretty quickly -- you guys must be jealous. (Don't bother armorying me, btw, I'm in the middle of a brief boomkin experiment...kinda fun but I enjoyed the arenaspec experiment better. next up? restokin!)

Was 1-60 as Balance, was 60-70 as Balance, once again Moonkin be the way for me :)

EDIT: At this point in time, I'll probably go http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?druid=000000000000000000000000000230023010000000000000000005120220125331331012035101030

but I'll respec first to try Typhoon and Starfall, see what they're like. Planning on getting Starfall at this point eventually.

I'm going Feral, definitely.

Only issue I have is whether I should focus on Shred or Mangle (Cat) for leveling. With Rend and Tear and Shredding Attacks, you could pull off one hell of a Pounce-Mangle-Shred combo, but I'm thinking about grabbing Primal Precision and going with two points in Natural Shapeshifter.

I guess it comes down to whether going with PMS (hehe) will provide faster killing than focusing on Mangle alone with added expertise and lower shapeshifting cost.

I'm going with the PMS build because hopefully I will be doing many instances between the patch & WotLK as well as instances while leveling. May as well start getting used to the rotations I will be playing once I hit 80.

Seeing as I just picked up the Elunite Embued Leggings and the Amani Punisher from ZA it just solidified myself going boomkin.

I'm sitting at 20.20% crit in boomkin and 882 spell damage w/o any enchants but my weapon. I cannot wait to be a boomkin for real again.
