Normally I'm not one to name and shame, but this guy had me twitching uncontrollably for ten minutes straight after inspecting his gear.

Ignore the level 58 AB rep gear he's wearing at level 68. Ignore the green stamina/strength/crit cloak he's wearing. Ignore the stamina, agility, attack power necklace he's wearing. Look instead at his weapon.

That's right. A blue BOE Druid tanking staff (one of the better ones for new 70 Druids) that goes for an average of 70g at the Auction House. And he's a goddam mage! WHY?!

I thought my Mage was level 25, but it turns out she's level 35. Yippee!

Maybe he's gearing up for the new feral mage tree in WotLK.

This does remind me of the time i dueled a rogue with the mindblade.

He does have 23% reduction *chuckles*.

On the other hand, he's in a guild with characters named "Tijnzor" (Tijn is a Dutch name, it'd be like naming yourself 'Bobzor'), "Twinkjessey", "Roguejessey", and "Shamanjessey"...

I have some of my characters on Kor'gall, yeah. Contemplating moving them to Zenedar, though.

Really, really hate the Battlegroup Kor'gall is in.

What's your character names? I might know some of them :P

yeh i want to move too, no one listens to leaders of bg even when they have a nice tactic given to them or they don't know what the hell teamwork is, but i don't have a valid credit card at the moment :(

This is DEFINITELY not the last time we see a mage in +agility and + attack power gear.

There is another mage from my former guild with more bonus healing than bonus spell damage. Perhaps that is no problem if deadmines is the only instance you run and request for help with level 70 dailies.

The reason I left that guild? The GM is a protection paladin (at that time) with more intellect than stamina.

I'll admit, when I took my Priest to Outland, she wore a ring with +strength and +hit at one point, but only because she was missing a ring (restored character) and that one had +20 stamina or so as well as the useless melee stats.

She's only level 64 now, but she's definitely not wearing melee gear anymore. Armory.

I don't see why, at level 68, he couldn't have gotten the same items. Most of them are quest rewards.

He is a gold farmer I would imagine, all he is wearing is cheap items and rep items that can't be sold. Did you send him a tell about his gear? I bet he won't respond.

Edit: well that staff throws my theory off a bit but I am sticking with it.

I did see 5000+ PvP Kill points there so ?

Was he in town or doing something low ? was it a dress up outfit ?

Seems a bit odd he could get that many kills in that outfit ?

Anyway there is something odd about that gear and being good at PvP ?

Former Twink? Not all of us are wise engough to seek out the wisdom that lies in these forums. I am so much better now days than my day with my melee mage, knew every graveyard on both continents

I'm a mage with more bonus healing that bonus spell damage.
I wear healy boots that dropped from Shade of Aran because they're a better choice stat-wise for my PvE gear than Imbued Netherweave Boots.

I almost bet that he is a purchased account from right before TBC. I say this for two main reasons: They have pvp gear that would take a while to get pre TBC. At some time, it looks like they knew what they were doing, and only recently it looks like they fell off the band wagon. Also, with 193 tailoring it appears that they got sidetracked / sold also.

Also, if you look at his rep, you will see a few more clues. He has a lot of rep with Stormpike Guard. Rep was mostly used pre tbc for pvp battle grounds. Also, it appears with his outlands rep that he hasn't run too many if any instances in the outlands. I know that I was well above honored with my toons with honor hold at 68 with a few instance runs and quest turn ins.

Well at least he didn't drag you back. I got invited to a heroic mech once and the group was nice, besides the hunter. That dude was full of "of spirit" and weapons with melee procs. Nope, we didn't boot him and also the epix hunter gloves dropped for him at the last boss. Lucky kid...

I would want to see your faces on an RP realm, where level 70s are walking around in level 20 cloth items *chuckles*

^^ yeah, I am playing my drood on a RP server, and some girl(?) said to me: "Oh. I can tell you are an adventurer." I wasn't feeling very RP-y, so I just said "Huh?" She said, "Your clothes don't match." lol.

193 bonus damage is impressive

Regarding it being an RP set, unless they also RP their talents I doubt that's the case. They have actually put a point in Arcane Fortitude and the frost tree looks a bit like they covered it in glue, threw talent points at it and kept the ones that stuck.

My warlock hits same-level mobs with his sword for around 60-70 damage. After armor.

FAER HIM!

Seriously, I think it's a joke toon. Some people waste thousands of gold on level 19 equipment with level 60 epic enchants. Some people buy druid tank staves and put them on a mage.
