Terrible Night...Follow

Ugh.... I had the worst Raiding night I've ever had last night.

My only defense is that I rarely fight the early bosses in Kara, the guild usually clears them on our Friday sessions which I can't participate in. I'd only faced Moroes once before and we beat him handily the first time.

We had kind of an odd mix group going into Moroes. No problems at all with the trash. Then we finally go to take on Moroes and the first time we almost had him, but the timing seemed off and everyone was kind of sluggish, so we ended up failing. I broke shackle once when I (of all things) was trying to send my pet to one target and brushed the tab key while doing so. I went 'what?' and saw the shackle symbol over my target and went "oh noes!" then tried to call him back but he had dash on... DOH! Our healer got him reshackled okay so the failure wasn't totally my fault but it didn't help. I couldn't blame Morris.

Then we all fell apart and on the last two, I clearly wiped the Raid when I kept breaking the damn shackle. I've NEVER done it before in MONTHS of raiding around shackled foes. I'm like WTH! and felt like a total huntard. I don't know if the moon was in alignment with some evil star but... it was awful! I had never wiped a Raid before last night and NEVER been in the lower half of the damage meter... EVER.

Anyone else have a really bad night? I know I was Huntard extrodinaire. It made me doubt all the success I've had in the past! I went to bed feeling like crap.

It happens. Don't sweat it.

Sometimes the moon is in the wrong alignment with an evil star. Over time, I've seen even the best players have an off night.

Just don't make a habit of it, you'll give us a bad name. Just kidding /wink. Hopefully, your guildmates are good natured and know it was just one of those nights for you.

I deterrence tanked an abomination over to Jaina last night. I think that makes up for it.

hehe, moroes. I remember the headaches he caused when I first went into kara. Now of course, we don't use CC, just AOE the adds down.

Heh, Moroes. Good old memories of showing off with trapping. Only once managed to mess up the trapping, but that was when the Tank Druid managed to AoE Taunt my target on himself, then swiped it so much I had trouble picking him back.

I use the mod ora2 for Main tank targets, I also assign 4 random dps from the raid to my personal targets (which I don't need to be promoted to set, unlike MT targets). Then I usually target their target and 99% of the time I don't have to be worrying about targeting a cc'd mob, because unless all 4 are targeting the cc'd mob I can select the correct mob and never even have to use my tab key :)

My guild has been completely baffling me lately.

Saturday (Last Week): Black Temple. We showed the first 4 bosses what's what. No wipes. 2 and a half hours. We called it a night.

Sunday: Progression kill on Blood Boil

Monday: First attempts on RoS. Got it to Phase 3.

Thursday: Wipefest in Hyjal. We only got 2 bosses down in 3 hours. I just didn't understand it. We've had 4/5 hyjal on farm for quite a while now, but we even managed to wipe on Rage >>>TRASH<<<.

Saturday: We start invites to finish the last two bosses in Hyjal. We were missing 5 core raiders. The officers argued for a few minutes about what to do, and we finally decided to go to TK. As soon as we announced it, 4 of the 5 missing core raiders log on, and we only had to grab someone's friend to fill that last spot. We went in and destroyed 3/4 TK (with several people who had never seen the instance), and decided that we didn't have time for Kael attempts, so we went back to Hyjal and busted out the last two bosses like we were farming Kara.

Sunday: BT- took two attempts on Naj'entus, and three attempts on Supremus. We haven't wiped on Supremus since our first attempt on him. 3 hours for 4 bosses?
