Need advice for a lvl 40 druid.Follow

So I'm leveling with feral, and my biggest problem so far is getting decent gear. I've looked at the stickies, but all of the gear lists are for 60+. Anyone know of a list or guide that I can look at that'll show me where to get some decent upgrades?

There aren't any gear lists because any gear you do get will be replaced soon enough anyway.

If your really worried about gear run SM and any other instance around your level, you should find something.

Also check the WoW Armoury page and click "Find an upgrade"
Take a look at one you like then copy and paste the name into the item search here on Allakhazam to see where it comes from.

Other than that see you at 70.

I now have 8 toons leveled to 40 plus (most 70) and I never worry about gear. I take whatever I get for quest rewards and make do with that. The only exception is weapons for rogues, warriors & enhance shammys. For those classes, upgrading your weapons can make a massive difference to DPS. For those I just visit the AH and pay 2-3g for cheap green weapons with nice stats and decent DPS. For the druid your weapon is like any other piece of armor - just another vehicle for stats - the weapon DPS is irrelevant.

Any item you do get will be replaced fairly quickly anyway, especially when you hit Outland at level 58-60 and the gear improves amazingly.

Having said that, here are a few options you could look into if you are still keen :-

[wowitem=6327]The Pacifier[/wowitem] From a Rare spawn in Alterac Mountains
[wowitem=9449]Manual Crowd Pummeler[/wowitem] From a boss in Gnomeregan
[wowitem=9408]Ironshod Bludgeon[/wowitem] From a boss in Uldaman

I had Ironshod Bludgeon until I reached the Outlands. It's has good stats for a Feral druid. I ran Uldaman twice in order to get it.

I can vouch for the comment about the gear upgrading once you get to Outlands. I think I've changed everything I previously had just with gear from quest rewards. My healing set took a big jump as well.

a few pieces that will last you a while at low lvls;

fenrus hide

rugged spaulders

ferine leggings

just to name a few. Those 3 pieces in particular will last you quite a bit as they have amazing stats for their level and are quite easy drops to boot. As others said though, don't worry too much about gear pre 70. ALl you need to know is gear for agil, str, and stam. I got my druid to 70 in about 9 days played and you more or less just use quest rewards and random greens that drop while questing.

I wouldn't worry about gear if I were you. The quest rewards are decent enough to keep you moving to a point where what you have will serve well until it is replaced. Being that close to 60 just wait until you hit Outlands. I am on my first quest to 70 (currently 67 and so close to flight form I can taste it) and I was surprised that what everyone said was true, your first green item in Outlands will dominate any epic you got pre-BC (If you've been through Outlands you know this already, but I was very pleasantly surprised.)

Anyway, at 40 you should have enough quest gear to move you along without issue. I did most of my questing solo and a little bit with a friend or two, I didn't die very often (unless ganked) and went through 40s pretty quick.

Though I know plenty of people that have and do worry about gear, my thoughts have always been if I am questing enough then I will outgrow my gear on it's own so why spend $$$ on gear. I guess instances can give XP, though it is usually shared and will a full group pretty low and there can be excess waiting to organize time associated with them so just quest on and you'll be fine.
