So i have a question, my rogue is a blacksmith, and soon to be high enough whether to go swordsmith or macesmith. I'm not too sure which way to go. anyone have any tips or suggesstions? i know that theres formulas and lots of different aspects on which spec you're going, so anything will be great. =)

Im no smith so take my information with a grain of salt.

I cant say that I have met any rogue blacksmiths though. Off the top of my head, I would say if you had to pick one, go sword smith because PvE swords work better with Sword Spec than maces, and PvP swords/maces are the same (given equal stats). So no real reason to get maces.

Personal Opinion follows, if you dont care dont read: I would pick up a different profession than smithing. Letherworking for DPS and leg armor, and engineering for goggles mainly, but lots of fun gadgets that rogues can utilize well: such as ranged attacks from bombs usable while moving, polymorpher, and jumper cables in PvP that are very useful in combo with vanish.

I'd have to agree with zisikpus. As a rogue blacksmithing is really more of a money sink profession since you can only use the few weapons, and even then most weapons you can make are easily upgraded. Plus, the mats for any of the extremely nice epic weapons that you learn to create as a swordsmith or any other blacksmithing profession are insanely hard to get or insanely overpriced on the AH.

I went leather/skinning on my rogue for the money from skinning and from the nice epic patterns available to us leather wearers

Good God, why are retards posting about **** they don't know about?

If you're going BS (I wouldn't), macesmith is the only choice. Any swordsmith is a moron who doesn't know how to play a rogue.
