Hi, I couldn't find the answer on this in the faq. But basically I tamed a cat was wondering if prowl is even worth getting. Or should I just keep using bite and claw and pick up dash at mid-30's? This toon is a troll going bm spec so looking for advice on which to get. Thx in advance.
Also, upon 70 I'll be mainly pvp not sure if it matters much.

Prowl is kind of situational. There are a lot of people who absolutely love it. If you're a NE, then it goes well with Shadowmeld for when you need to AFK for a minute. Other than that, it's just a feeling thing. Try it out, and if you use it a lot, keep it.
And at 70, if you're doing BGs, Prowl can be very useful. For arenas, however, pick up a scorpid.

I have a cat with Growl, Bite, Claw, Dash, and I have to say while prowl would be nice, I would not give up any of those abilities for it. IF I could have a 5th I would definitely get it, but alas I can't.
However, there are some situations I'd like it. When in tight areas (e.g. Bloodsail Buccaneers in STV, on the boats) and I want to scout the rooms out, EotB+Prowl would have been awesome, but alas I missed it. However, my pet did just fine without it. I mean hey, rogues have stealth - but warriors, enh shamans, and ret pallies dont and they do all right.
However, there are some situations I'd like it. Thanks for the replies. I played around with it for a bit, it does seem nice but I think the rare opportunities doesnt make it worth it for myself. Plus the whole moving at 50% bothers me, I get kinda impatient so dash it is.
If you plan on doing BGs before 70, you might like it.
When I play WSG (and sometimes in AB) I like to play D. I can have my pet Stay near the flag, turn on Aggression and use Prowl (while laying traps).
I can go hide behind something, use track Humanoids, and blast Flare here and there (to inform others, If i get lucky who might also be helping with D, who/what is near).
That is really the only time I use Prowl.
