Glancing blowsFollow

I have a question about glancing blows, is it still possible to get them when your hit capped, I currently have 3/3 precision, and 95 hit rating, as of the guide here I have hit my hit chance cap of 99% . I`m wondering why I`m still having some glancing blows come up. Heres my armory link.

You can't eliminate glancing blows at all against mobs that can receive them. Glancing Blows come before White Hits AND Crits on the attack table.

In most cases, your weapon skill will be the max allowed for your level (5*level) so we can assume that's a constant. Weapon Skill above this will NOT be counted for calculating Glancing Blows. Glancing Blows can happen when a mob has equal Defense Skill to your Weapon Skill or higher. Meaning, a level 70 mob (which has the same Defense as you have Weapon Skill -- 350) can take Glancing Blows from a level 70 char. A level 69 mob cannot (their Defense Skill is 345, lower than your Weapon Skill). It can be convenient to look at it like this, any mob of equal level to you or higher can take a Glancing Blow -- but remember, it's really Defense/Weapon skills that determine it, not mob level.

In a level 70 raid (against level 73 bosses) you will always have a 25% chance of landing a Glancing Blow. You can't do anything about it, they'll happen. And since it comes before crits and white hits, it means you can never stack your crit to 100% regardless of what kind of fancy gear might be available. It can't ever happen due to the mechanics of the attack table.

Hit capping is important. It totally removes MISS from the attack table. Glance, Block, Dodge, Parry, Crit, and White Hit remain. It can help to think of hit in this way: Instead of directly increasing your chance to hit, it reduces your chance to miss. Since White Hit is the bottom of the attack table, the extra % that used to be Miss gets filled by it.
