Subject pretty much sums it up. I can find (or just missed twice) a good leveling build. Please help (with suggestions or websites) that are good to start with. Thank you.

Not sure what level you are with Warrior or if you have ever played other toons, but here is how I'd look at it:

Run it up to 10 then spec what you think you want to be at level 70 (plenty of posts on those merits) then repec at 20 if you don't like the flow of what you are doing. Then respec again if you change your mind; the gear isn't spec dependent for awhile. I went Protection then Fury when I got duel weild and can say that it went oK in comparison to other classe I've played. It felt good at the time and I like my ability to completely shred an enemy pretty fast.

My impressions are that leveling a warrior sucks if you are new to WoW as there isn't an escape or a heal available; you really have to know your skills on how to pull mobs and kill fast. Conversely, I went with the most protection I had until I learned, by experience and reading the forums, how I wanted to play the class. I went that way after running a couple of Shamans so I can't say I really maximized the Warrior class. I probably went a little too defensive until I found my comfort level with heightened melee damage. Ultimatley, just find out for yourself how you want I to run the character.

One other observation:

Gear is replaced so fast and respeccing is so easy(relatively for established players)that you should roll with one and ask about specific issues later when you know how to narrow the issues down. Your leveling depends upon where you are in respect to the skills you've learned and the gear you are using.

True, just pick up the talents you think are best aim a little bit for the extra damge output so killing mob goes faster..when you reach the higher levels you learned more about your toon and its role in life and maybe don't need any advice on build

Thanks for the replies. I should have clarified. I have quite a few other toons, namely my 63 hunter, I just figured I'd start a warrior because I'd like some experience tanking and doing melee DPS befor DK comes out so I kinda have an idea what to look towards. I picked a draenei for the GotN so the downtime would be at least a little less and I plan on taking JC for the gems and the healing stones. I guess what I was really going for was the cookie cutter build for grinding like hunters have with BM. Thanks again.

Edit: Thanks Ze thats what I was looking for.

I just came from being a hunter too and this idea that there is a single well known talent build that is the BEST for leveling just doesn't exist for warriors (not that I've seen anyway). I gotta admit, I did like the not needing to think as a hunter. To level a hunter spec BM 41/20/0 and thats it, done, over, no disputing the facts. Getting over that had to be the toughest part of becoming a warrior, for me at least.

Though after getting past that, I have found so much pleasure with my warrior and last night I just about had to change my pants after I accidently pulled 4 mobs level 32 (I'm 31). I think, "oh crap" and start to panic. I hit retaliation, sweeping strikes, and then cleave and about 5 seconds later they are all laying before me. It wasn't the fact that I could take on 4 mobs that got me, many classes can do that, it was that they all died so freaking fast.

Stay away from prot talents and go for anything that increases your dps.

the linked post has two specs, both 2H, but ignores DW. i'm sure those are fine if you want to go 2H, but if you prefer dual wielding, don't be afraid to go DW fury - it's a blast.

DW fury can be the fastest. better gear helps it a LOT more than other methods to level.

2H fury can also be ridiculously good. using improved slam is a great way to level if your skilled with it. you are very weapon dependent for this.

2h arms is decent. its more of a pvp build but its by no means bad.

go to the official wow forums, there's a master post with tons of links, and one compares dw to 2hfury to 2h arms. gearing nearly the same, 2h is better until upper 20s ish. then dw pulls ahead a little bit. 2h arms is the 'weakest' of the 3 builds, but honestly its not a big disparity.

personally i like dw fury because over time the amount healed by bloodthirst was ridiculous. using swstats, before lv 60, ~30-40% of my healing was through bloodthrist, and it helps a lot in reducing downtime.

Im not sure where I saw the post but some guy ran 3 orcs all warriors looking for most dps with lowest down time on them. You can prob search for louiesmith, deweysmith, and hueysmith and find the post on the web but anyways to sum it up.

17/44/0 duel weild fury best build out there for DPS and lowest down time
31/30/0 mortal strike arms came in second not far behind

You can chose either one its up to you, I'm rollin 17/44 (lvl 40) right now and honestly I think I could have saved some cash going arms only reason is buying 1 2hdr vs. buying 2 1hdrs off the AH.

If the is for leveling then STAY AWAY FROM PROTECTION you will lvl like a snail doing anything......SLOW
