How to increase my DPS.Follow

#1 Aug 21 2008 at 12:53 AM Rating: Decent
Hi

I am after some advice, I have a lvl 70 orc shaman and I am not produccing enough dps for my guild, I am Enhancement spec and what to stay that way, can anyone help me with some advice on how to get my DPS up, either by changing my spec within Enhancement or with better gear to go for.

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Thunderhorn&n=Krytoon.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well you could start by chancing your trinkets so that they could help you at least a bit. Also chance your pvp ring for anything else, green from AH is better choice than resilience AP wise. Your boots are elemetal shaman's boots so very little help for you. I would rather take hunter/rogue boots than those. Also your cape A.K.A back is anything but melee cape. Get it upgraded by "downgrading" it with even blue or green to begin with.

How is your rotation with bosses? U keep flameshock up all the time and use earthshock in between? Also I would get better gems for weapons and if ya can afford also enchant them.

Your talents are also very very disturbed, Where u need 1% more crit for lightning and healing? How about getting dual wield speciliazation? I'll step back now and let others continue since I'm little confused about all this. If you check your talents and gear and then read FAQ you notice some strange things.

-Edit. Out of curiosity I checked about 10 of your guild mates and let me tell you that you are not the only one who is maybe confused in gearwise. So strange mixing pve gear with pvp related gems and also pvp gear with spellhit gems and enchants etc etc.

-2nd edit. I can't help it but I'm thinking that this is similar joke than one posted earlier with that mixed gear/talented shaman with a lot of bought gear.

-3rd edit. Skills, profs, gear, knowledge, <you name it> I declare shenanigans(? written correctly ?) also known as eBay.

I have lvled this toon from lvl 1, I used my prof to get money for mount and and not looking that changing skinning to Enchanting now I am lvl 70.

I have only been a wower for 6 months and have follow a guide to get to 70. So yes mey tallent are a little mixed up and I have a few srange bits of gear but I assumed that any epic was better than no epic.

"...any epic was better then no epic." strange idea and absolutely NO !

You seem to lack basic understandings of game mechanics, so here is the place to get it:

http://elitistjerks.com/f47/t20765-shaman_enhancement/

That´s your holy bible, you will find everything there...rotations, specs, gear etc.

I suggest to read that first, and then come back when you have any more questions, but it should
solve all of your problems if you do what this guide tells you to do.

This is the spec you want. It will give you 9% more hit. 15% more strength and agility from totems. 10% more damage from melee weapons. Lower mana cost for totems and increased totem range.

Your gear is ok with the above acceptions (boots, trinkets, ring, back). Also, get your gear enchanted.

I dont think a guy with his level of experience is ready to wade through the EJ threads.

To the original poster, just focus on as much gear as you can find with Strength, Attack Power, critical strike rating, and hit rating. Ignore everything else for now, just concentrate on getting your melee gear sorted out. Go to www.wow-loot.com and look for good loots for Enhancement Shaman, then run those instances.

Really? I had no idea that being inexperienced meant you're also illiterate (no offense to the op). The EJ forums as a whole is one thing, but this is a single thread in which the author did a good job of putting most things into laments terms as well as making it easy to follow.

That aside, the armory link isn't working for some reason at the moment so i won't be able to give much more info beyond what was already said. Enhancemaster provided the EJ link to an easy to follow enhancement guide which provides a good breakdown of how to dps well and gear up as an enhance shaman. The only thing it doesn't say specifically, which is frequently asked, is that windfury enchantment should be on both of your weapons.
