So here's the deal, I've got the off-hand badge Fist and enough honor/marks for an S2 main-hand. The Roguecraft 101 post on EJ says that the top pve dps builds are Comabat Swords and Combat Fist+Sword, with Combat Fists lagging by 1-2%. My question is, will the higher top-end on the S2 Fist make up for the dps loss on spec, or should I opt for the S2 Sword because Fist+Sword is superior?

When they talk about Fist/Sword, it exclusively pertains to using a fist in your mainhand and a sword in your offhand. The sword spec procs from your OH attacks using your MH damage, and the fist spec increases your MH crit chance. It wouldn't make much sense to increase your OH crit chance by 5% when it already suffers a 25% damage penalty on top of the low damage range.
Sword MH and fist OH would be far below the reverse in terms of DPS.

There's an easy way to check: download the spreadsheets I have linked in the Compendium. Enter your gear, enter the buffs you normally get while raiding, and then then play with specs and gear until you get the highest DPS.
