Would switching to Restoration Shaman at lvl 60, I will be working my way through battlegrounds to get my 60 gear and, Grand marshal's mageblade along with Grand marshal's tome of Restoration. I was just wondering if that would be a smart idea.
Isn't 60 gear somewaht obsolete? Why not level to 70 and get your pvp reward gear at that point? If you dont have TBC well than that would explain stopping at 60, but other than that I would just level to 70 and get the better level 70 pvp rewards.

No. God no.
It's not worth the grind of BG's. Those old world PvP epics will be replaced by Outlands greens and quest rewards in your first few days of questing.
Unless you don't have TBC, then yea, it would be a good idea. Seeing as you're stuck at 60 anyway.
