WWS: Doom Lord Kazzak

my guild's first ever attempt on him, as we had never had the numbers to fill a 40 man raid out before. i had the benefit of an enhancement shaman, feral druid and retribution paladin in my group (4th member was a rogue, but he doesn't buff anyone so he doesn't count =D ). for anyone who doesn't want to bother browsing the file, i stacked (or at least pretty sure i did) haste pot + reck + bloodlust brooch when heroism popped about halfway through. kazzak did manage to kill a few people with shadow bolts, but we kept eating him up anyway and he died at the 1'29" mark. damn, just one bloodthirst crit away from the top spot!

wow, I've never been in a raid yet but I had no idea warriors could put out that much DPS. I always thought hunter or mage were the DPS kings and warriors just take a beating....hence why I just rolled a warrior to learn more about what they can do and I must say, I'm impressed.

GJ to you man

ye, as proud as i am of making a personal best, 1500 dps is on the low end of dps warriors in T6 content and Sunwell... that is, 2h arms/blood frenzy dps warriors. without having seen a WWS of a top fury warrior in T6 content, i imagine someone like RP (did you match your glaives yet?) would most likely have personal bests of 3-3.5k+ dps in certain fights.

the other thing that makes me feel good is that my calculated best potential dps using Landsoul's spreadsheet is 1523 dps, so i wasn't far off =D

Sadly, no second glaive. I did hit 2100 DPS tonight, unbuffed, without any group buffs except a Resto Shaman's WF (no Arms Warrior, SV Hunter, Retadin in the raid).

Nice job man.

Just out of curiosity, did you find yourself threat capped? I just ask because your tank's TPS is pretty low in that fight at 650, so I imagine he would have capped you pretty quickly.

I would imagine you have the potential to push a lot more if that's the case. It's not meant as a knock against him, just an obvservation.

tbh i didn't even feel it since Kazzak went down so fast, and i gave the tank what felt like 10-15 seconds head start to position Kazzak correctly. i had started melee at some point but jumped off the ramp for fear of getting cleaved, then ran back up and started whaling away.

not as a knock against him, but he's one of our "elder" tanks as well and sometimes a bit slow 0=) but he gets the job done
