So, my guild has been progressing through ZA, my group has gotten to Zul'jin and phase 3 wastes us still, but we're getting better. We normally bring 3 healers and have had no problem getting the first two timed chests. But the other night we figured we would try out the 2 heal/spriest method.
Raid buffed I have 2025 healing and the holy priest has about 2300. We made our way to Akilzon and I was nervous as hell if I was going to be able to 2 heal through storms, static disruption and the birds. But, in some insane act of god we made it through w/o even losing anyone. The priest and I were sitting about 50/50 for heals. Nalorakk, I know this fight too well and our MT/OT know it well so I knew this was going to be a little easier so once again downed Nalorakk w/o a problem.
Onto Janalai. This fight worried me quite a bit, I was literally shaking and pretty nervous that some DPS was going to get wasted in a firebomb or I wouldnt be able to main heal and cover dps in flame breaths. Sadly we wipe once but still have 7 minutes to spare to work on Janalai. So we try again. Well our crazy pally tank and warlock have finally managed to let all the birds out at once and kill them. Two hatcher sets and all the birds are down, we lost the warlock due to aggro but a quick NS/Rebirth covered him and bam, we're up and running. And then... Janalai down. The priest and I are still hovering between 50/50 heals for the night. This is the night I found out that spriests are amazing to have with.
Halazzi, the hardest fight I can think we have. Mana intensive, totems suck and that cleave scares the hell out of me for our tanks. After chain potting like a mad man, innervating our spriest so our mana keeps up Halazzi is down.
I couldn't believe my guild had finally 2 healed the first four bosses of ZA. We're finally in reach of getting our bear mounts. I also set my own personal record for HPS with an HPS around 925, the priest had around 1150. I was so proud of my guild and myself that we're finally progressing.
