New MageFollow

My friend just quit WoW to go to Warhammer, he gave me his mage and i dont have a clue how to play one. Right now im fire, 2/48/11 is going to be my spec, my rotation is stack scorch to 5, Fireball spam and then refresh scorch every 25 seconds or so, but i dont know what stat i want to stack, im amsuming getting hit capped before anything else and then i was going to start stacking crit and dmg gear, is this a good way to do it? also is there a certain spl dmg/crit i need to achieve before i should start stacking haste in my gear, and how much haste should i have before i stop stacking it?
