Haven't posted on here for a while now, but hoping you guys can give me some advice.
I am currently wearing the spellfire set and have read multiple posts saying when would be the best time to switch gear (which is around the end of t5 apparantely)

Now my question is, should I buy the 75 badge boots to increase my hit rating and stay with the spellfire set or should I save the badges and go for the 100 badge chest/75 badge gloves and then go for the belt from the vendor in shat?

I would say get that badge robe, its great and You'll use it into BT (unless your lucky enough against sunstrider).
Belt, get the belt of blasting, its just some gold or farm some mats so good and so easy. /join trade /<#> Need tailor to make belt of blasting, My mats tipping well!
Badge boots are good, I see most mages with them, If you plan on staying fire and have the guild to do it, some of the spell haste from ZA would be awesome pieces (im assuming your not fully into t5 content as it is). Great sword/boots with haste on them.
If you end up with more left over badges the gloves can be a good investment, I am currently with Spellstrike/Badge robe, blasting, spellfire gloves, badge boots when I spec fire.
grab some more thoughts if ya want, but you cant really go wrong with badge gear, except get that blasting=)

Yes, belt of blasting. Still using it until I can get the loot from brutallus, but recently changing to a server in my own time zone is going to set me back a little on my turn on that belt.The robe from badges is good when breaking spellfire set, as is the robe from magisters terrace heroic if you want to spend your badges on something else. As far as the gloves go either badge gloves will work, the older ones for less badges are very close to the new badge ones, and actually i think you can get more +dmg from the older ones with gemming.
Personally, I'd say the badge boots should last you until Sunwell(one of the sets of boots out of BT I'd consider a very minor upgrade). Then again, the robe should also last you til Illidan or Archimonde, with the one off of Vashj being a nice upgrade as well, if you're lucky enough to ever see it drop.
Actually, the ZA haste gear would also be of major benefit for a frost mage. Though the sword is pretty much spectacular for any spec.

I didnt specify your right. I was plucking fire or arcane frost as the "raid specs" so was not taking frost into the equation.
