I am in the process of leveling a 2nd toon and was debating between Shammy and Druid. I am going to guess and say that you feel a Druid would own a Shammy?

I have a 70 druid and a 70 Shammy, and while I prefer the druid, they are both very similar and also very different. Either choose the one that appeals to you or start leveling one of each. The early levels are pretty quick and you can just keep playing the one you enjoy the most (and level the other later :) )
Also, with WotLK out in the not too distant future, it would be worthwhile reading up on the new talents & abilities as some things are changing significantly. Even Blizzard doesn't seem to know how bear tanks are going to work at this stage - just that they will work!

I also have a 70 druid and shammy and although I love them both, my druid is definitely my main. I have gear for all 3 shammy specs and for druid I have healing, feral dps and feral tanking sets. The utility of the two toons is so awesome that I can bring just about anything that's needed to any run. I also recommend giving them both a shot and seeing how they feel to you. I had the shammy and a hunter to 70 before the druid but as Mazra put it so perfectly
