Have you guys seen the info on Inscription? Specifically of course the Paladin spell Glyphs.

http://wotlkwiki.info/index.php/Inscription#tab=Paladin

Looking very good so far from a tank, healer, and DPSer's stand point. Hope to see more, but nonetheless, I am looking forward to this profession.

Not exactly new news, but no one has posted these yet to my knowledge, so I thought I'd give it some attention.

yeah, i saw those the other day, alot of very good ideas in there.

however, one that i dont like, even though i should, is the buff to SoComm. what is the point of Seal of Blood, or rather, whats the point of giving it to Allies if its going to be completely made obsolete by SoComm. unless im looking at the numbers wrong.

if its a straight +20% to proc, then a 62% chance with 3.6
if its a +20% to the PPM then its still a 50.4% chance with a 3.6 making it the same as SoB(actually better then by .4%).

hopefully there will be an inscription for SoB. other wise there will be little point to use SoB. as we get most of our mana from judments, the heals we get because of SoB will add negligable mana returns i think.

clearly the xpac isn't ready yet. however, that being said, i'm far less worried about how this glyph compares SoB to SoC than i am amused that i can take a glyph to make SoC just a little less bad compared to SoR/SoV for dps... SoC still won't scale with haste. SoB and SoR will. SoC and SoB still don't scale with SP (which we get from SoL). SoR and SoV will. SoR hits half again as hard as SoB for my ret on Beta and still hits every time... why hope for SoB cits when the dps of SoR is enough better that i'd have to have over 50% crit chance for SoB to be worth it. SoR hits for about 150 less than SoC... but hits every time as opposed to an average of 42%... again doing the math, i'd need more than a 20% increase to SoC to make it worth it. even taking crits into account.

so, yeah, rets like crits. but at what pont am i gonna say its worth it to hope for a crit on an ability that has a less than 50% proc chance in the first place compared to something that hits nearly as much 100% of the time. SoR is currently as much dps as SoC would be with nearly a 100% crit chance and far more reliable.

i love SoC in live and have long wished i could have SoB too... however in beta both of those are going to be outdated and unused.

just realize ruen that our seals will almost HAVE to get rebalanced. at that time we can better judge the value of this glyph. pallies haven't really been looked at in the last couple builds except to to fix JoJ damage, so when we get the balanceing act again we'll see better which seal blizz intends for dps for different dps situations.

i completely forgot about the fact that SoR is doing more damage now. yeah, they need to fix the seal. other wise there will will be 2 forgotten seals rather then just one. the balance they have in BC is really nice for horde.

SoR for tanking
SoB for PvE
SoComm for PvP.

for allies you have 2 seals that are very close, used for tanking i assume.
then SoComm for PvP and PvE.

would be nice if it ended up something like this for both factions.

SoV for Tanking
SoB for PvE
SoComm for PvP/Questing for Ret.
SoR for PvP/Questing for Holy or Prot.

honestly, with SoR being learned so early, i don't really see any reason why it should scale so well at it beats out dps talented seals and seals you learn in your 60's. i don't see any good reason for this to be an end game seal. SoC should, as the ret tree talented seal, be the ultimate dps scaling seal. SoV is well set up as a tanking, additional DoT for dps seal. let it either have an extra threat element or, just be the one best suited for tanking. SoB is a high level dps seal. This can be the replacement (i.e slightly better scaling) seal for SoR for solo'ing, or offspec dps or even for tanking in situations where the tank outgears the fights to help with the mana starvation. even if SoB outpaced SoC, i don't see a reason why SoV and SoR should.

we'll see how it all turns out though.

Does anyone know the math for the seals for the xpansion at the moment? I`m curious.

Not really.. that I know of.

There's a few big theory-crafter Prot Paladins from maintankadin in the beta (not on my server though :( They're on Northrend US PvE or the PvE EU server) and even THEY aren't looking into the math yet. They seem to be of the same mind as me.. why bother spending the time when it's going to change somehow every single build from now until live? ESPECIALLY since we dont have level 80 open yet.

Just furthers my feelings that there isn't really a good reason to go into detail about the beta with people who aren't testing it. It's just hype that will end up changing otherwise. The important info (the stuff that stays more of less stable, rather than the specific math balancing that changes every build) is all given in the patch-notes.

From looking through those Glyphs, the one I was most looking forward to (Consecrate) is crap, and glyph of LoH is looking kinda overpowered (Out of mana? just LoH your target and there's quite a bit of your mana back)

I really like the Glyph for Avenger's Shield: single target, but does double damage. Depending on how Glyphs work though. If you can swap Glyphs around like gear then this will be amazing! Don't use it during trash pulls, then for bosses slap that Glyph on to produce even more front-loaded threat. If they are more like enchants though, I don't think I'll be using it much: the cost just wouldn't be worth it to keep "re-Glyphing" depending on boss or trash pulls.
