Getting ready to do some PvPFollow

#1 Aug 13 2008 at 1:05 PM Rating: Decent
Hey, I'm a level 58 blood elf rogue who is looking to get into PvP when I hit level 59. Unfortunately, I have done next to no PvP, and am not sure what would be a good build for PvP at level 59. I am mostly familiar with the combat tree and how to do things in PvE, as that is where I have spent most of my career. I'm just looking for some advice with PvP builds and general maneuvering and such in PvP, and possibly what my role should be in PvP. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go 41 min into Sub and start practicing using that tree, not daggers though. Then most pvpers fill up ***.

I really am immature enough to find this hilarious.

Advice 1: go to lvl 70, then respect sth like 20/0/41 (I personally prefer 17/0/44), and as soon you you hit 70, do BGs to gear up. PvPing @ 59 would be a waste of your time ("real" pvp takes place @ 70).

Advice 2: spend time on forums, get an idea of how to do by reading and educating yourself. You can't seriously expect anyway to chew it for you and spoon-feed you with all that information, bit by bit.

If you want to PvP at 50+, then go subtetly for Shadowstep. I made a quick build here. It may not be the best, feel free to change talents if you like. (don't use daggers, btw) http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?tal=0050200000000000000000000000000000000000000005022530002321210501351 . You might want to replace Cheat death with something else. At 0 resilience, it will only make you absorb a single attack. And never use SS, hemo completely replaces it.

About maneuvering, you must be able to spin around targets non-stop while using the keyboard for abilities. You can exercise this in PvE too, but it's useless there.

About the role...I really don't know. Stealthers are both excelent attackers and defenders so I quess it would be a waste to be midfield.

What the ****. You have no idea how to spec even after spending time on this forum. Smiley: frown

Use your goddamn brain.

At 59, your spec should look like this. Cheat Death is next to worthless at 59, and taking Murder and SoH over Ruthlessness is retarded.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I'm prolly going to mess around with the build Theo put up, as I do know from just fighting monsters that when you have the choice between adding a combo point or doing a small amount of extra damage, you take the combo point, especially when getting off a finisher can mean the diference between an easy kill and an agonizing death.

I had fun as mutilate 59 and 60. Against plate pvp twinks it was difficult but everything else was a blast. Just the typical position crap but i had fun.

I left points out because of preference at that point, probably more stealth ,but improved sap can help pvp and pve.
