Warrior rather than Paladin?Follow

I was told to go to the class-specific forums to get more detailed info about classes. My question is this, what makes a warrior a better choice than a paladin for PvE? Does the lack of healing in battle really hinder a warrior. Finally, which is a good choice for decent leveling speed and group-ability? Thanks.

This is a terrible question.

Warriors and Paladins are different. Apples to Oranges. One is not better than the other. Both are better in different situations.

Both can level efficiently. Both can do awesome in groups.

Try reading the FAQ for both classes, and see which one appeals more to you.

Lol, funny question.

Here's why I chose a Warrior over a Pally... I did not want to heal.... period. I always dreaded having to keep people alive, so easy choice. lol.

Then after I got more comfy with WoW I rolled a Druid and went Resto. My healing gear sucks, mainly because we have been raiding SSC/TK, and just missed the KZ farming for the most part with my Druid. I do have a few KZ items, and one ZA item tho XD.

Anyway, both can DPS. Both can tank. Pallies seem to be really needed for a lot of the AoE pulls KZ on up. Before we got a pally tank... dragonkin boss in ZA was such a PITA, after... 1 shot everytime (unless we just get plain bad luck).

As above poster said, check out the classes, and make your own choice tho... It's the class that you'll want to play up to 70 you should question, not what is better.

Paladins vs Warrior at Tanking:

Paladins gain threat from an area damage spell that does holy damage on a circle around them which allows them to easily hold multiple secondary targets at the same time. The other threat abilities are single target holy damage spells and the holy damage that happens on shield blocks.

Paladin Tanks Have:
Resurrect: They can resurrect dead players after combat.
Blessing of Protection: Shield a friendly player for 12 seconds.
Judgement of Wisdom: Gives mana to casters on long fights.
Judgement of Justice: Prevents an enemy from fleeing.
Consecrate: A spell that does damage in a circle around the paladin, generates threat on all the mobs it hits.
Blessing of Wisdom: A buff that gives mana to casters.

Warriors gain threat from high threat abilities. Tend to be much tougher than Paladins as they generally get more HP and damage reduction. Warriors tank by using sunder armor and other high threat abilities, the sunder armor significantly increases the physical DPS of the rest of the group.

Warrior tanks have:
Sunder Armor: Significantly increases the physical DPS of your team.
Shield Bash: Interrupt spells.
Spell reflect: Reflect a spell back at the caster.
Thunder Clap and Demo Shout: Significantly reduce the DPS of your enemies.
Shield Wall: Reduces damage a lot for a few seconds.
Challenging Shout: Taunts all mobs around you for a few seconds (Use shieldwall when you use this).
Last Stand: Makes your HP be 30% more for a short period.

These are the main differences for tanking.

For DPS it's mainly having healer abilities (heal, cleanse, auras, buffs, etc) versus having combat abilities (spell interrupt, sunder armor, physical dps buffs and debuffs, etc)

Roll a warrior, when you are a warrior you ARE THE STAR of the show. In BGs grab a heal bot and merc through sh*t, in PVE you can tank and become the star again!
Seriously whats not to love?
