I just watched this and damn this would be a good spec. I;m not so sure about arena, but in World PvP/BG it would be nice. This guy mainly uses PoM for the 30% crit increase and he spams all his instant cast spells. The funny thing is the pyroblast in the end of nearly all his fights.

I don't exactly know the spec, but it's obvious he's deep arcane and and specced fire down to pyro.
I wanted to see what the actual talents were he choose. I don't see that in the comment on the page.
For those of us who have only paid slight attention to the new spells and talents -- was the blue bolt he fired that looked vaguely like a frozen immolate the new frostfire bolt? And what was the large dark-colored explosion that it appeared he was able to zap some people with?
No to frostfirebolt. I was tinkering with it and his final spec would looks something like 51/20 (no link). His instant casts as far as I can tell (have not looked at new spells in a while) were as follows.
-Fireblast
-Pom Pyro
-Ice lances
-Cone of Cold
-Arcan barrage (3 second cooldown so you saw it a lot. Hit around 2500 so not bad. Looks like a bit of a better firebast with faster recast time)
So all in all not a bad spec idea. If you can hit with barrage, fireblast, frost nova and some quick ice lances followed by a 50% chance (even with some resil factored in) pyroblast, add im some ignite ticks youll definitely take someone out. Having a 4 second silence in there can lock down a druid for a prayer at killing them. Have arcane power active for both of it its quite the burst. Again, I do see a hard arena viability for this because Arcane power will be dispelled quickly if seen and if a person survives the massacre coming at them, be it through a well timed ice block or heals + soul link, your kinda screwed without that huge 4500+pyro on round 2. Arcane barrage looks fun for pvp, but thats about it. Fun, not most effective and certainly not a great raid tool. (ie fireblast)
Although, I suppose we can be 2 minute mages instead of 3 minute mages. Sorry ladies=P

As some people said, yes it won't be very effective in arena since it will be dispelled. The only way to win in my opinion a match with a dispel type class is to have your other friends stunlock him(if you have a rogue) and you go invisibility so they'd think its rogue/rogue or rogue/druid. Then you'd get out of invisibility and poly other (if possible) then pop up pom and own i guess. I don't know if it'll work but yeh it's worth a try.
