Now 70 for about 2 weeks, have my merciless gear, and now working on the rest of my gear.
Im planning to do Arena becuase it is very very fun.
Question: What is the best arena partner for frost mage and Y?
I have tired Rogue, Druid, and, A shadow priest.
It worked best with the druid, becuase of the stealth ability and the ability to heal me.

Rogue, ret pally, spriest, warrior. That pretty much rounds it up.
Mage/healer works ok if you both really know what your doing. But if a team happens to get smart they'll relize that all they have to do is keep you on the run and your DPS will be nothing.
Start out with a good ShS rogue and play together alot. Warrior is a great burst team and ALOT of fun if you go pom/pyro. Ret pally only really works past 1600 if you both have awesome gear. Teaming up with a spriest that knows how to play good D and hits like a truck will help you against all the teams with resto druids.

I'm with a ShS rogue at the moment. It's actually working alright, but we haven't played more than 22 games. We're both not VERY good, but the combo has a lot of potential. Droods aren't as hard with a good rogue on your team.
If your talking about beating a druid, say 1v1, it is very very easy for me.
All I have to do is do the DPS i need, and spell Steal their HOTs (heals me!!!),
and then counterspell or sheep there heals.
But my gear isn't very good and working on that, got all of the merciless, and now working on the other pieces.

The problem is that they have talents to buffer against all of their hots, they have quite a few buffs to put on themselves and a few to prevent their hots/buffs from being stolen (you will get resists etc) for a high cost of mana.

Well if that is true, how do u kill a resto druid? cause I cant out DPS thier heals.
The only thing i can think of is the Shatter Combo with bolt, lance, and then hit them down with fireblast, and CoC???? but they would prolly heal out of that anyways.

the last thing i said, the DMG would be prolly around 5-6k health?
You could also try doing 2's with an elemental shaman. They bring strong burst, can offheal if needed, and have the best offensive dispel in the game. The only thing that they lack is a control which you, as a frost mage, can provide.

What my rogue partner and I do to kill one is CC the other class as much as we can with blind and sheep etc. Then he stunlocks the drood and if i can pull off a shatter combo without interruption, we can usually kill the drood. I find it best to start the shatter combo after the drood is effected by Kidney Shot.

You answered your own question. A good resto druid with = gear as you will be able to out heal you every time unless he messes up or you get lucky. And this is WITHOUT a pole to hump. If they can LoS you then it's all over. If you steal all their buffs and HoTs, then you won't have the mana to DPS him. If you don't steal them then he'll out heal your DPS. Then all it takes is a feral charge into your evocation and it's all over from there.
My roomies main is a resto druid in S3/S4. It's not hard at all to outlast a frost mages mana. Droods are so much more mana effecient then we are it's not even funny. I don't know how many times I've just went all out on him with him just sitting there healing though it and by the time I'm oom (using gem) he's at full HP with half MP. Then it's just some noobfire spams while I wand away.
I've said it in other posts.. the best way to beat a resto druid as a mage is to bring a rogue.
