Hunter UI'sFollow

I recently updated my UI.

This got me thinking about what everyone else's UI's looked like.

Here's mine.

My UI is a mess at the moment, tried x-perl etc but it runs like treacle.

Edit: who is that chick in your avatar?

Yeah, I agree. I liked X-Perl and all but it caused way too much interface lag for me.

The chick is Jessica Biel.

It's still a working progress, but what I like so far is when I enter combat all my professions and junk are hidden from view and most of my battle items will appear. Also I placed Omen where the alliance logo is, and removed its borders and background color so only the bars and text are visible.

Was another project of mine and until I can fix my memory problem it is on the back burner. There is actually more to the skin, but this was taking before I imported the last skin components.

Yours looks really nice SimpleMajority. The first pic you showed looks a lot nicer then mine does, especially with the aspects treated like stances. We made this suggestion to blizzard in the beta, hopefully they go along with it. However I would like to know where you got your UI =) Looks very nice and efficient.

I'm not gonna post pics, but I used Xperl for targeting, group and raid, and all of my buttons were done with Bongos2.

It takes a bit of time to setup, but if you are like me and want as much screen space as possible to see wtf is going on, give it a whirl. Just save your original Interface folder first before you go ******** around with it.

I'll take a shot on Thursday, which is the next time I raid. I could show you a shot of me sitting around in town, but it wouldn't show what my UI looks like when it matters.... When I have a ton of big, purple crits taking up half my screen.

well, I do have This. It's just a little outdated (but really epic-looking nontheless). I cut out about half of those buttons by macro'ing my pet talents, my aspects and traps into 1 button each. I also decided that I didn't need all my tradeskills up on my bars while I'm raiding.

That's pretty much my UI.

The addons that I use are.

Titan Panels
Simple Minimap
Trinity Bars 2.0
eepanels2
Pitbull
Quartz
Simple mp3 Player
Natur enemy cast bars [ sp? ]
Minimap Button
Buffalo

Those are just some that you can see.

well the basics of my ui are eepanels2 (custom made skins which took me 3 days to dream up). I also adjusted the UI scale so it was as close to true 1280x1024 windows as possible. The Action Bars are Trinity 2.0 minus the casting bar, and exp bar disabled.

Other notable addons include:
X-Perl Classic UnitFrames (with the raid bars, because I didn't like grid)
TomTom (currently disabled because it is acting really wierd)
QuestHelper
Omen (which I wish more people would get)
Quartz (skin is Glamour2 in SharedMedia)
Prat2 (using a font called big noodle something)
FuBar
AuldLangSyne
DoubleWide + Lightheaded

The hardest part of making the UI is the conversion process from PS to the game. I use 512x512 image files because I can get the more of the skin at once, which makes it less of a jigsaw puzzle in game.

The second picture was what it looked like before, and in order to get the fubar plugins where they were I used StatBlock. I really didn't like how StatBlock handled some of the plugins. I experienced lots of bugs with the menus and also some of the plugins didn't even work, or would show up on the fubar instead.

I need to get a picture of the UI while its in combat mode. Alot of the "junk" that clutters up the UI in combat disappears, even my mounts. I did notice my party frames were a bit big and made it harder to see what was going on to my left side.

Similar to yours

No screenies available at the time.

Bartender (whatever version, I use 3 although 4 is out I think. My preferred actionbar mod)
X-Perl (Unitframes addon, replaces Character, Pet, Target and Party. I disabled Raid and Raid Pet function)
Grid (My preferred Raid UI. Small and simple, yet provides alot of info. Clean screen with that)
CT_Ra (for the raidleaders, they seem to like the info)
DBM (Well, DBM is kind of a must for raiding. That or a couple of other similar mods)
Omen2 (Threatmeter. Best I know of)
Recount (Damage Meter, best I know of)
Quartz (best castbar I know of, universally)
Natur Enemy Castbar (more info than Quartz when you deal with a fuckton of mobs/players)
ZHunter (Saves much needed barspace for things like Aspects and such)
Simple Minimap (Helps with placement and shape)
eePanels (for making things consistent instead of just randomly placed addons)
ArcHud (For gathering player, pet, target and target's target information around your character. Good for those of us who don't like spending time looking for information)
FuBar (Just a plugin gatherer, also shows info about more mundane stuff like latency, gold, repairbills and stuff like that. )
CT-mod (Use some of the functions there, chatwindow arrow remover, mousewheel chat scroll, mailbox functions and map items.)
Gatherer (Saves info about where various resource nodes are located)
Itemrack (To quickly switch between PvP, Raid and City gear. Also useful for my Druid and Warrior (Tanking/DPS/Healing gear takes a while to change without it ))

This is what I can remember right now. Anything else is probably exclusive to other classes, like Totemtimers and Necrosis.
I'll see if I can't find an UI pic when I get home to my own computer.

My UI.

I really, honestly think that this will be the last UI shot that I will ever need again. 6 crits up at the screen at once, and look at Recount! I'm showing 1337 DPS.

I know that it's not the prettiest, most outrageous UI out there, but that's honestly what I like about it. I don't need a bunch of graphics covering up half of my screen, especially during fights where knowing what's going on around you is important... Although my SCT can get in the way at times, but that's when I just ramp up the minimum value shown to 900, so only my crits show.

My UI, made with:
AG_Unitframes
Bartender
Fubar (top, hidden)
JIM's cooldown mod
Minimalist
Omen
Proximo (mid top of screen, only active in arena)
Recount
Quartz
Scrolling combat text
Zhuntermod

I promised an updated view while in combat. Side note: As good as the Quest Helper addon can be for players, it is also a huge memory hog highest point it was consuming some 500mb so it is gone. I also just added deadly boss, but it is not in the screenshot.

SimpleMajority: Is there any way you could help me setup my UI to emulate yours? I have oodles of addons that take up a LOT of screen space and was wondering if you could email me a copy of your addon folder or post it as a .zip for download?

Only thing I would change is Grid > XperlRaid (Mostly bc I'm playing my pally more recently)

I just redid mine. So ill see if i like it or not.
Mine

I use:
Bongos 3
Zhunter (just started using it)
Titan bars
Damage Metter

I don;t like how Bongos take my EXP bubble br, and just turns it into a EXP bar... I can't find away around it.
Anyone know of a cool EXP Bar Add-on?

I will see what I can do... You need to have an understanding of eepanels2 and its advanced options though for editing. Give me some time on it though, got alot of things working right now on my end.

It seems like this UI would take up quite a bit of memory and might cause a bit of interface lag. Am I wrong?
#19 Aug 26 2008 at 11:01 PM Rating: Good
actually I do very well on memory usage. I think since dropping quest helper I am running around 156mb or so... Any lag in my system right now is due to failing memory modules. In fact I am locked out of the game because of the damaged memory (both DIMM's are toasty). I get paid on friday and I am leaning towards OCZ2P8004GK as a replacement. Thankfully it is supported by MSI.

edit:
LOL pokemon John McCain....

Smiley: eek
I'm at ~30-35Mb with my UI..... (20-30 more when Auctioneer is running)
#21 Aug 27 2008 at 4:24 AM Rating: Good
I will have to look when I get my new memory. I know the numbers spike with auctioneer and deadly boss, but I can't honestly remember... I just know the Quest Helper addon spiked me upwards of 500mb
#22 Aug 27 2008 at 5:41 AM Rating: Decent
I do very fine with my UI. I have almost no interface lag.

That's pretty nice. Clean too.

BTW, how do you add images into your post? I know they have to be uploaded to your images on All first.
