Haste and the Badge XBowFollow

What is the Ideal Haste for a 2.8 weapon speed for a BM hunter? Assuming one does not sacrifice significant amounts of AGI/AP is this not the best way to increase DPS? I have been lurking at TKA but the posts there are not very specific(that I can find).

Thanks

I am also wondering about haste as well. How does it effect your shot rotation? Does it increase the speed of Steady Shot as well, like Improved Aspect of the Hawk and Rapid fire? Or does it just speed up Auto-Shot.

Haste decreases casting time of steady shot, but it does not decrease the global cooldown, so you're pretty much stuck at 1.5 seconds. If you can get enough haste to get your autoshot down to 1.6-1.7 (depending on latency), then you can get a very tight 1:1 shot rotation.

You don't NEED any haste for the badge bow, because 2.03 speed is tested to give a perfect 3:2 rotation (anywhere from 2.00 to 2.07 is perfect). But if you happen to have a bit of haste, then you could drop down to a 1:1 rotation and save a ton of Mana.

So adding haste will continue to tighten the 3:2 macro and increase DPS until 1:1 is reached (while still using the 3:2 macro)?

Or haste will reduce effectiveness of 3:2(clip) until a 1:1 speed is achievable?

Do you need to run a 3:2 Macro and switch to 1:1 when under the effects of temporary haste(drums, quickshots, ect)? Or will the 3:2 self adjust?

I am sorry for all the questions but I am trying to wrap my head around it as the SS seems to tell me that hit capped, haste is the best thing since sliced bread.

I have the crafted shoulders, edge of oppression(with malchezeen) and 170 badges. SS says that the badge chest with haste and my wolfslayer is bigger increase than bow. Of course chest and bow is huge. Of course in my other thread I QQ about not getting the chest out of Mag T which would make my decision easy I think. I have come out with the edge of oppression, a breeching comet though and a 20 slot bag so far.

I refer to cheeky's but honestly I am unsure if I am getting it set up right(OpenOffice). I am getting some strange results. I wouldn't bug you all if I was confident in spreadsheet skillz.

The 3:2 macro will self-adjust to a 1:1 rotation when you're under enough haste.

However, depending on your latency, if your autoshot speed is between 1.7 and 1.9, you're too slow for a good 1:1 and too fast for a 3:2. So you either want to get under 1.7 for a 1:1 or stay above 1.9 to keep a 3:2. I'm not entirely sure what the 3:2 macro would do in between those speeds, I just know that mathematically, those are about the speeds that each rotation is perfect.

Maybe I'll go out to Dr. Boom to see what happens. I can get 1.8 speed with some haste gear and drums.

There's a haste/shot rotation spreadsheet floating around Elitist Jerks somewhere that can tell you your weapon speed, and has a chart for steady/auto ratios at that speed.

Thanks Midnight. I can get below 1.9 with drums too so I will go to boom and check today. If it gets freaky I guess haste will be capped at around 100 for 2.8 weapon speed for people without access to some serious haste gear.
