To answer the original question: Considering all the classes are specced for leveling, the paladin is the last.
I also disagree with that statement. That is effectively saying that the Pally is the slowest leveling class in the game.
I think the only thing you can say with absolute certainty is that we ARE NOT THE FASTEST.
Your method of leveling is by far more important than the class you choose to level.
Quest grinds are the most efficient way to level.
Mob AOE Grinding is next
Followed by single mob grinding.
Personally, I just know of a few places where I can bang through quests - Searing Gorge is a great spot IMO. I also know that a 1 or 2 runs of BRD will get me some great EXP (Particularly if I'm in a Rested state.) However, Just a few levels back - I found that Un'Goro crater is not as quick (From a pure questing standpoint.) I also noticed that ZF didn't seem to net as good of EXP...
So - when am moving from 40-55. I will hit Un'Goro, but I really grind it out there. I don't visit ZF unless I have (or the group has) the mallet. I just find from an EXP standpoint - it's a bit of a waste. However, When I enter the S. Gorge area, I'm on constant lookout for BRD parties, cause I know the EXP is good.
Maybe it's just me... But I find you method of Leveling is more important than WHAT you are leveling.
