OT: Help me! I'm being pulled away!Follow

#1 Aug 11 2008 at 4:37 AM Rating: Excellent
Back when the sun was brighter, I was a cold-blooded killer. Stealthing around opponents, pickpocketing whatever came into sight. I was a noob, but learning the ways thanks to experienced ones on these forums. That is... until I switched.

Yes. I've been playing my shaman the most for a while now. Mainly because everyone calls on the healer for groups. Hell, my shaman surpassed my rogue in gear and experience. It's sad really, because I enjoy playing my rogue.

Well recently, I've tried to play my rogue again. Signing her up for Kara, running dailies, and trying to get into instances. It hasn't been working too well. We'd be short a healer and have a hard time finding one, which results in me caving in and jumping on the shaman, just to get a run in.

Now, since it's been so long, I have forgotten. I have forgotten the ways of the rogue. I have forgotten the feeling of blood on my hands. I'm afraid I have forgotten everything.

Is there any chance of hope that I'll return? Perhaps, but it'll be a long ways until I get back into the swing of things, that's for sure.

I keep trying my rogue (lvl 37) and find it hard to play. Of course it's not because of the rogue's abilities or play style, it's more the fact that I've done all these quests at least 10 times and they are incredibly boring. I'm still trying and will probably do a bit of PvP once I hit 39. I have daggers now, but once I hit 38 I'm switching to swords. We'll see how it goes, I've never really enjoyed PvP with my warlock or shaman (mostly because of those damn rogues).

Yeah I definitely know where you're coming from. As you can tell from the sig, I'm working on a mage, hunter and a priest. I've been enjoying my mage and priest, it's just that, doing these quests over and over again gets pretty boring (as you said).

But then again, I like to have a choice of what to play, so when I get bored with one type of toon, I can play the other.

The only thing I can recommend is to put your foot down and force your guild to recruit more healers.

I had this same issue (sort of) when I first joined my current guild with a bunch of my good friends from my old one.

Though my main was a rogue, I had a fairly well geared pally healer. I signed up for everything on my rogue, but was told to come in on my pally since the raids were always "a healer short"

My first two weeks in the guild were spent completely on my paladin so I had to have a stern talking to with the officers.

Me: "Okay, If you guys keep forcing me to raid on my healer over my rogue, I'm going to have to leave the guild"
Officers: "Fine, go ahead and leave"
Me: "By the way, your ten best raiders were from my guild and have agreed to come with me if I'm required to leave, if you wish to run anything past kara, I'd suggest you guys get off your asses and recruit more healers."

Now everything I do is on my rogue, Basically all you need to to is ask your officers to start recruiting more healers.

By the way, the blood never washes off, and it only tastes so much sweeter after oh so long.
