thanks again to all the advice guys (and ladies if any are posting). So far I have increased my dps from 220 to 320. My hit rating is now sitting at 55, I can't remember what it was originally. My crit rate has gone up from 15.66% to 21.45% as well.
I am finding it extremely difficult however to get normal instance parties for the ring I want, but I am going to stick to the quests I am doing because it offers alternative rings. Something odd though I noticed without my pet being counted in recap my dps drops down to 160 something despite the character screen saying I am averaging 320.2 dps on ranged. Is it possible blizzard factors in the pet as apart of our dps or is recap just bugged?

congrats to me for looting the schematic: Khorium Scope tonight. It dropped off the first sunfury archer I fought while looking for the attack plans.
