Hey guys I have a question for you. Completely new to the shaman class and have one that is only in his teens. My friend and I are looking to twink out some characters at level 49. I have wanted to make a shaman for a while and wanna have a more fun way to grind some badges and honor points. I also wanted to so I can have something fun to do other than grind BG's with my 70 for gear. But anyway I want to make a shaman at the 49 bracket and was hoping that someone could enlighten me on what a good spec would be for him. I either want to do a Enhancement or Elemental spec. At first I went 2h and got the mace from the princess in Mara. I did hit hard as hell with WF but it just didn't proc enough with that slow of a wep. I actually went to this spec and picked up 2 lvl 48 green maces from the AH and still did better then I did with the 2h.
As far as gear goes just go though ulda and mara and look for the mail gear with AP... You can get most of your set from both of those places. Mara has a rare spawn where you get a piece but there's a easy way to get it if you have a 70 running you. Zone in using the septer and stand at the bottom of the falls. Then the 70 can go in through the main entrence and pull him to the top of the falls. and kill him.
If your horde there's nothing better then the honorguard chest peice from a quest line in Hinderlands. If your going ally.. then GL to ya :). The legs I got where just green BoEs i got from the AH for 5g (LOL NUBS!!). All they had was +40 AP then i put the +20 stam and +whatever Agi armor on them with my main and sent them back to my sham. With some buffs I had around 750 AP (with savagery on my mace)
I also haven't looked much into what 2 1-handers to get since I spent most of my time with the mace but it should be easy to figure out what 2 you need to get.
I got the boots, neck, ring, and belt from honor rewards. If you want to save a little gold just get the +12 stam enchant on the boots. AP on wrist and gloves, 150 HP on chest, agi on cloak, and get agi on both your weps (or lifestealing). If both you and your friend have 70 mains and really want to spend the time you can both do the quest to get the +100 HP to head/shoulder twice and put those on eachother.
As far as the BGs actually went it was pretty fun for a good while. Mages still give you a problem since you can only trink once every 5 min and they can kite you around. Keep your grounding totem handy incase of lock sighting. Try and use ghostwolf to sneak up on people and just bash their face in. It takes some time getting used to what totmes to drop. They are always changing depending on what class your up against.

Wow awesome. Thank you both for the replies. The info was just what I was lookin for. My friend and I both do have 70's so we will be running eachother through instances to make it a lot easier to get the gear and what not. Thanks again guys.
