Upgrading my warlockFollow

Yes, this is another post about how to upgrade a lvl 70 lock, for which I profoundly apologize, but I need help. Let me show you why:

My warlock was the first character I got to 70 a loooong while ago. Right after that, I stopped playing her and I started working on various other classes.
But seeing as this was my very first character ever, I was feeling a little emotional after going over my list of characters a while ago. So I tried playing her again: not only does she suck, she also...sucks! big time...
And my problem is, that I'd need regular instances to upgrade her gear before going heroic. But nearly everyone on the server seems to be a much farther stage, and getting pugs is nearly impossible.
So I was hoping my fellow warlocks could give me some advice on gear, maybe (probably >.<) build, general constructive (pretty please?) criticism...
