semi in depth pvp and pve questionsFollow

#1 Aug 07 2008 at 7:23 PM Rating: Good
ok I guess we will start with PVP since that is what im most worried about.
So I have began gearing up and am now closely to fully geared with S2 and kara/gruul gear.

1. I am currently BM spec is this at all viable in Arena or a waste of time to even try for it

2. What kind of Gems and enchants should i be worried about? I obviously know ap crit and agi are the big 3 but how much of each and how should i balance them should i just mix them up? I have started using cheekys but havent got that in depth with it. also im jsut not sure whats most important for pvp

3. In Arena what should I be attacking first (mostly concerned with 2v2 and 3v3) should i have a the dps CCed and kill the helaer or what. (this question is the one id like the most in depth answer to)

ok now for PVE

1. so I know i need a certain amoutn of hit. should i be gettign this stricly from gear or will i need to gem and enchant to reach cap? also once again what kinds of gems and enchants should i be worried about and how much of each should be used?

I guess that pretty much covers it. any help would be great but those that take some time to help me understand these things with a good explanation thank you in advanced

Not the best for Arenas, since after TBW is done, you don't have a whole helluva lot else to help you. Most hunters go with a MM build with a side of some BM.

For both PvE and PvP, Agi is the way to go. Ignore crit for PvP, and only gem crit for PvE when it's worth the socket bonus. If you're low on Resilience for PvP, then gemming that is acceptable. If you're using parts of S2 gear for PvE, just do Agi.

That's not a black/white answer. It just depends on group make-ups.

BM- 9% hit
SV- 6% hit
If you can get your hit rating from your gear, fine. If you can't, gem it. Until you're capped, Hit will increase your DSP more, point-for-point than any other stat.

As for other gems, go for all Agi gems (if you're hit capped). If you have the 12 Agi/3% crit damage meta gem, then the most efficient way to achieve the bonus is either:
2 Jagged [whatever green gem]... or
2 Shifting [purple] and 2 glinting [orange]

Either way works fine.

Try Arena Junkies for strats and stuff. You can also just do some skirmishes for some practice as well.
