2h dps questionFollow

Right now I am nowhere near 70, but I plan on doing a 2h slam dps rotation at 70. I have read the sticky for warrior dps and still had some questions about it. The first is will I have enough rage to instantly start the rotation(33/28/0 spec)? Or sometimes would i just have to auto until i build enough rage to restart it. Also, were the 2 dps specs the only possible 2h dps builds? The 33/28/0 build seems a bit odd, as it includes imp heroic strike, imp thunder clap, and imp demoral shout instead of unbridled wrath and I did not think any of those moves would be used.

In arms, to get past the 2nd tier of talents, you have to spec somewhere. Given the talents and the job most arms warriors are doing, imp tclap is very useful. It is the best points in those tiers you can get. Given that the first 5 are in deflection (5% parry doesn't help dps either), your picking out things that not important. UB is really weak, even for dual wield. Since your going farther into fury, grabbing up 5/5 imp demo shout gives a 2nd dps help to a warrior. Your lock puts up Curse of Recklessness on your main target, you put up demo shout. You get free armor penetration.

Actually, you hit 40% sooner after Parrying an attack... Now, this of course depends heavily on when during your swing timer you actually parry, and can hardly be seen as a major increase to your DPS due to its uncertainty, but I was pointing this out for sake of clarification.

I am still wondering about the rage generation though. I have heard that the warrior slam rotation is something like auto -> slam -> auto -> ms -> auto -> slam -> auto -> ww...etc. It does not seem like there is enough rage to even start the rotation early on in a fight, and once you get i started it seems that 2-3 moves in you would run out of rage to continue the rotation. Is this a problem? Or do you somehow generate that much rage at 70 with a 2h?

It is actually auto, slam, auto, slam, ms, auto, slam, ww, auto.....

Yes you often lack rage to make it work. If so you do just auto and slam and wait for crit to provide rage for ms or ww.
Standing in some AoE solevs the problem, rage pots help also and WF totem is just great.... and of course good gear helps as well.

keep in mind that your rage income is dependent on your damage output (barring rage from damage taken). that means that the less you miss due to adequate +hit and +expertise and the harder you hit due to str/AP/crit/ArP, the more rage you will get. you can also buff this considerably with sword spec (extra attack proc) and WF totem.

a 2h arms warrior at the T5 level and above properly buffed with WF totem, haste pots on cooldown and perma-drums (all 5 members or as many members of your group must be specced into LW and have drums of battle up at all times) doesn't have as much of a rage starvation issue than a lesser-geared warrior.... though it does still happen. you will still get dinky glancing hits, miss entirely or even get a freak parry when the boss turns around to cast, have no luck with sword spec/WF procs or have latency mess up your rotation completely (2h arms dps is very latency dependent) no matter what you do with your gear.
