It really depends on what you can find the most use out of. Wether your gold starved, and wether you just want some cool gadgets. Eng is fun, but its a pain to make any type of gold off of it. Theo has a post that tells you all about the professions. I highly suggest reading anything he has posted. Its all good. I've been on my rogue for two years now and he put some stuff in there I have never actually thought about.

Not at this moment. I've kinda been glancing thru all the other stuff I've read and i can't remember if it was a link in his that I went to, or if it was an actuall post. just glance thru a few. you should be able to find it, I'll keep looking.
