Ran Ring of Blood during my lunch hour. As a 67 enhancer eyeing resto I figured I'd take http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=25759;source=live as my reward, grind enhance for another couple of lvls, respec by 69 to test-drive resto in BGs and instances.
But there was another enhancer with me and he convinced me to take http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=25764;source=live instead. He told me there was an equally good healing mace in OHB. I clicked on the fury brand and then realized -- I hate OHB. I don't want to farm it for a healing mace -- especially as enhance or an undergeared healer to boot.
So: Is there anything out there before 70 vaguely comparable to the healing mace I passed up that I could use to heal BGs and maybe a Sethekk Halls run or two before I ding 70 and buy the essence focuser or get the SSO mace?
Edit: I did some more research and looks like I can still get a solid healing dagger from Durn the Hungerer, so all is not lost. By the way, may I say: Great new item search, Alla.

If im not mistaken there is a mace that drops in Slave Pens that is close in comparison. I think it dropped from the big lobster boss(his name excapes me). Hopefully this is enough info. But if my memory is incorrect please feel free to post the correct information.
The "foolish" thing you did was let someone else tell you how to play.
As "ironic" as this is posting on a site like this, never let someone else choose "whats good for you and your build". No one knows your course of direction for your character better than you! I've done some stupid things in this game, but I can "brag" that my mistakes are my own. Call it my RL mantra so to speak, but I can live with problems I make for myself, nothing pisses me off more than dealing with problems someone else made for me. This world is full of opinions from everyone...BAD opinions! Personal research prior might have solved this problem ahead of time. C'est la vi.

While the ROB items are certainly good, especially for the lvl, I wouldn't sweat it too much in the degree that they are ALL replaced, in the relatively near future. I used some green BoE "of the invoker" (I think) mace myself as my healing set for a long time. Certainly not "great" but it got me by, til I picked up The Essence Focuser @ 70, and that lasted me for awhile til I picked up the epic healing mace from shat rep.
But, don't take my word for it too much. I took the fist weapons when I did it, simply on the basis that I like fist weapons :p I coulda gone with the 2h axe and be equally content I think too (I ended up taking the axe on my war when his time came for ROB), took the dagger for my hunter, and will more than likely take the mace when my pally gets there. Which is why I now look back and can say, ya sure they we're good...but for all my alts that made it to 70...they all got replaced kinda quick, thus I don't sweat it much now, not that I'd pick something crappy on purpose, just for the sake of doing so :P

There is a BOE mace that you can buy from the AH for moderately cheap.
The Essence Focuser
On my server it goes for around 40g, its a good starters healing mace for at 70. Until then get a green one from the AH to tide you to 70.
Also this shield is something you should look into picking up from the AH.
Crystal Pulse Shield
They are both moderately cheap and will tide you over until you are able to get into Botanica for the healing dagger and the shield likely will tide you over until you hit kara. There is one that drops in heroic Shadow labs, but that might be out of your healing league right now. I would focus on the magic number 1200+ heal and heading to kara, before I would waste my time in heroics.
I pesonally think raiding can be easier than heroics anyday, espicially as a shaman healer.

Awesome, you found him what appears to be a pretty sucky healing mace intended for the early 60s, not where he's at. I'm not even a resto shaman and I'm pretty sure I could find something better just off quests and instances. If you're going to be full of yourself, at least back it up.

I got wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=25774 from the Durn the Hungerer quest last night, that will tide me over from 68-70 when I can grab the essence focuser and the like. Thanks for all the suggestions.
PS: It is really, really hard to contemplate leaving enhance. So much fun killing things so fast. That's why I took the fist weapon -- I love healing but I don't know if my heart is in it with this guy. We'll see when I try resto out.

Buy an essence focuser. They're like 20-50g and there is usually a few in the ah so you can probably get one pretty cheap.
Not full of myself at all. He asked for a mace that was easily farmable until he hit 70 when he could then use an essence focuser. So what i did was list some info for him, instead of telling him what he did wrong or that he should just go buy the essence focuser and crystal pulse shield, when he said he cant even use them yet. And thank you for flaming me for listing what you feel is crap instead of listing a better weapon thats just as easy to farm.
