2 days into farming reg MagT for the chest. 5 times in a row - gloves of arcane acuity.
Took a break ran shadow labs heroic - sonic spear dropped, wasted a bunch of mats for +35 agi on it. I will have the S3 axe next week....
This game has a sick sense of humor.

148/150 badges for the xbow. Wasn't my first purchase(I know, didn't listen again). Going to be a month of Kara's to get that axe and I am sick of my ebon netherscale. I thought that the MGT chest haste + shoulders + bow + S3 would be a pretty nice jump for me right now and would hold me over for the next climb to 150 BoJs.

I have the Hauberk of the Warbringer. It's pretty damn good for being from a normal instance.
So it does drop? I have never seen anything but the damn gloves of arcane acuity drop. 100% drop rate. The worst part is the only time anyone took them was a brand new 70 Lock who we dragged through the instance.
Yeah it does, the first run I ever did of that instance and I got The Leggings of the Betrayed and the Hauberk of the Warbringer. I was happy.
Yeah, we had the leggings drop and they are pretty awesome. I would have equipped them over my purples from heroic slave pens I am pretty sure. I have the badge legs now so they went to a druid for his offset. Going back in tonight for another couple of runs, probably heroic though, alot more nice stuff drops and badges are always nice.
Yeah, I had some epics on before. I can't remember what they were but the Leggings were a massive upgrade. They're actually pretty damn good.

I disagree with getting the Chicken Xbow > the two 100 badge pieces. The Chest and Leggings are such nice gear that together they add more to a hunter than that one non-stat having piece of crap. Save 52 more badges, get the 2nd 100 badge piece, go farm AV one weekend and get the S2 Xbow if you are desperate to upgrade. You should be farming ZA for upgrades weapon wise anyway. The Eagle boss is cake and if you beat the timer you get two shots at the gun, pluz ZJ's bow > anything outside of BT/SW.
Not to make you all hate me further with my observations but, I got the Tunic on my first Heroic Mgt run waaaaay back when and just sharded it for the 100 badge chest just so I could use one of the many +5 AGI +4 HR gems I've got cluttering up my bank.
I have the badge Legs, they are pretty damn nice too. I would love to get the gloves, ring and chest in that order. I have the WSSR which is significantly better than the slow weapon from BGs. I am still playing with the spreadsheet, right now the badge bow is only giving me a 12DPS increase, I must be doing something wrong, as EVERYBODY except Dark has advocated the bow for biggest upgrade for EVERYBODY. The bow offers very little stat wise outside of crit+. It has no AGI, no Stamina, nothing stat-wise. The dps is pretty but if you raid, you are going to ditch that thing faster than an axe weilding hitchhiker with a glandular disorder.
The two 100 badge pieces are nearly T6 quality (without the Tier bonuses). The bow isn't. Thats all there is to it.
Edited to add: The ring is a bigger upgrade than the bow. I'd get it 3rd as you won't replace it until you fully clear TK/SSC and get the Mount Hyjal rep ring (much like the Karazhan Violet Signet Ring).

Umm you do understand that weapon speed is all that matters when it comes to weapon DPS?
The badge bow is the 2nd best weapon for a BM hunter in the whole game, only the legendary bow from KJ is better.
The T6/Sunwell weapons might become competitive when you have the 4 piece T6 bonus and when you don't stack haste on your gear to use a 3:2 shot rotation (or if you really stack haste rating to bring down a 3.0 weapon to a 1:1 rotation which will ruin all your other stats).
Every BM hunter who is not farming Sunwell should go for the badge bow. It'll last a long time and it is a nice upgrade.

I agree. A little stat increase won't matter too much once you increase your DPS by as much as the badge bow will do for you. I would still grab up the badge bow. I'm about 5 badges away myself.

Guess I missed the part where we were only talking about BM hunters. Still the two badge pieces are still a bigger upgrade at the level most hunters have asked for advice.
